Cement
Cement is a hydraulic binder, a finely ground inorganic material. When mixed with water, it turns into a paste that sets and hardens and, after hardening, it keeps its strength and stability even under water. It is used for concrete production. Special Binders
We come wherever you need us
Special binders
Special binders are complex combinations of active hydraulic, latent hydraulic, natural or artificial pozzolanic compounds, inert materials etc., produced in the special mixing facilities of Holcim Romania. Special binders are delivered ready for use, their specific features being suitable for road and railway bases and sub-bases, capping layers, soil stabilization and soil improvement. Types of special binders produced by Holcim DOROSOL This product is recommended for special geotechnical works, civil works and communication ways in order to: improve soil with reduced mechanical strength (humiditysensitive soil, compressible soil, swampy soil etc.) stabilize embankments and slopes; increase the bearing capacity of capping layers for road systems DOROPORT TB This product is recommended for stabilizing materials used in building road layers, especially base and sub-base layers which are part of rigid and non-rigid road systems. The product can also be used for building: platforms and parking spaces acceleration lanes and sideways execution of coats for local roads or streets with reduced traffic execution of bitumen coats through the cold recycling method
INERCEM This product is a special product adapted for waste management applications. This product is used for the environmental remediation/rehabilitation of sites with soils polluted by oil residues. INERCEM it is also used for the treatment, solidification and immobilisation/inertisation of oil residues stored in settling reservoirs, slimes, detritus, household waste etc. DORODUR This product is used for special geotechnical works such as: Jet grouting Crack injection sealing Anchor injection Reinforced/non-reinforced piles Waterproofing membranes
DOROSOL
Special binders for improving cohesive soils
DOROSOL
DOROSOL is a range of special binders produced as a combination of hydraulic compounds, Portland cement clinker and quicklime, in accordance with the technical specifications in force (SR EN 197-1:2002, SR ENV 459-1:1997). The range of DOROSOL special binders includes several products, depending on their CaO content: DOROSOL C30 DOROSOL C50 DOROSOL C70 DOROSOL F Application fields For special geotechnical works, civil works and communication ways in order to: improve the soil with reduced mechanical strength (soil sensitive to humidity, compressible, swampy etc.) stabilize embankments and slopes increase the bearing capacity of capping layers for road construction Properties DOROSOL is a grey powdery type material with a high grain finesse. DOROSOL is produced in the binder mixing plants of Holcim to match the need of compressive strength improvement for various categories of cohesive soils used for civil works and communication ways. In combination with cohesive soil, DOROSOL generates a homogenous material easy to be profiled and compacted, finally leading to the increase in the bearing capacity of the land being used for. Depending on the soil properties and on the requirements of the Project Technical Specifications, the type of binder is chosen from the DOROSOL range . Instructions for use DOROSOL may be used by observing the following steps: 1. Direct spreading over the material used for the mix 2. Mixing the material in-situ with specialized equipment (mixing mills, soil recyclers etc.) 3. Levelling with specific equipment (motograder, bulldozer etc.) 4. Compacting with the rollers 5. Protection Depending on the nature and humidity of the soil to be improved, the type of binder to be used is chosen from the DOROSOL range, after making the preliminary lab tests. Depending of the preliminary lab tests, DOROSOL may be used in a percentage of 2-8% of the mass of the soil being mixed with, if earth treatment/stabilisation is achieved in one layer. For multilayer works, when the improvement of the refill earth is done in successive layers, the binder percentage will be established by a specialised laboratory, considering also the use of trial sections and the interpretation of the results thus obtained. If the special hydraulic binder is used to lower the natural earth moisture (Wnat > Wopt + 15% - such as wetlands, or highly compressible soils), more than 8% can be used. DOROPORT TB
Special binders for road layers stabilization
DOROPORT TB
DOROPORT TB is a range of special binders produced as a combination of hydraulic compounds, Portland cement clinker and other minor constituents, used for stabilizing and improving the physical, mechanical and chemical features of natural aggregates and soil. The range of DOROPORT TB binders includes several products, depending on the strength class (SR ENV 13282): DOROPORT TB 15 (strength class 12,5) DOROPORT TB 25 (strength class 22,5 E) DOROPORT TB 35 (strength class 32,5 E) Application fields execution of foundation layers and base courses that non-rigid and rigid road systems are made of execution of bitumen coats by the cold recycling technology, technical class I-IV enlargement of existing foundations execution of platforms and parking lots consolidation of stop lanes, slow lanes and sideways execution of coats for local roads or streets with low traffic execution of bitumen coats through the cold recycling method
Properties DOROPORT TB is a grey powdery type material with a high grain finesse. In combination with cohesive soil, DOROPORT TB generates a homogenous material easy to be profiled and compacted, finally leading to the increase in the bearing capacity of the road layer it is being used for. The strength class of DOROPORT TB is determined in accordance with SR EN 196-1. The setting time determined in accordance with SR EN 196-3 Ti = approx. 3 hours Tf = approx. 5 hours By adding an optimum percentage of water to the mix, practice-based processing time may reach a maximum of 8 hours. DOROPORT TB has a very good behavior when used in aggressive sulphate environments, making possible their usage in combination with soil that contains sulphates, resulting in a good consolidation of such soil. Instructions for use DOROPORT TB may be used by observing the following steps: 1. Direct spreading over the material used for the mix 2. Mixing the material in-situ with specialized equipment (mixing mills, recyclers etc.) or in special fixed or mobile equipment, followed by: 3. Dump truck transport to the building site 4. Implementation (profiling and compacting) 5. Protection DOROPORT TB is used as a percentage of the material weight with which the mixture is produced, depending on the results of the preliminary laboratory tests. The final percentage of DOROPORT TB is determined after executing a trial section and analyzing the results.

DORODUR
Special binders for injection works
DORODUR
DORODUR is a range of hydraulic binders specially formulated as a combination of latent hydraulic compounds, pozzolans, Portland cement clinker and other minor constituents, used for special geotechnical works. DORODUR special binders range consists of several products, depending on the strength class: DORODUR 50 DORODUR 100 DORODUR 150 Applications DORODUR products are used for the following categories of works: civil engineering works, industrial, hydrotechnical, mining works etc., in special geotechnical works, as follows: Jet grouting Crack injection sealing Anchor injection Reinforced/non-reinforced piles Waterproofing membranes Properties DORODUR is a grey-coloured pulverous material, with a high grinding fineness. The suspension and mortar obtained using DORODUR products have a good capacity to penetrate into the pores and cavities existing in the soils from the foundations of constructions, improving their physical and mechanical properties by enhancing the compressive strength and the load-bearing capacity of the treated/injected earth. DORODUR is a hydraulic binder with volume stability, highly resistant in aggressive sulphatic environments. The strength class of the products from DORODUR range is determined in accordance with SR EN196-1. The setting time is determined in accordance with SR EN 196-3 Ti = approx. 4 hours Tf = approx. 6 hours Instructions for use DORODUR is used in mixture with water, as suspension/ binder paste, as well as in mixture with water and sand, as mortar for geotechnical works. In order to achieve special characteristics of the suspension/paste and mortar obtained using the special hydraulic binder DORODUR, add superplasticizers, airentraining agents, setting retardants or accelerants, as well as other agents that are needed for jet grouting works.
