ArticleIGeneralRules
1. 2. 3. 4. Don't be a douchebag. Anything goes. The Bad Thing is bad. If you have the Bad Thing at the end of the round, you're out. When giving someone the Bad Thing, they must not be cognizant of the giving; i.e. it must be secretive. If they call you out and reject it, then you keep the Bad Thing (for the time being). 5. You can get someone else to give the bad thing, but the rejection rule applies. 6. If you're hiding the bad thing, it has to be in a place which is a) specific to that person, such as a backpack, room, or desk, and b) somewhere where it's possible to find. 7. Majority rules. In capture the flag, you don't hide the flag under a rock. In hide and go seek, you don't hide in the house. In Bad Thing, you don't be a bitch. If you do hide the bad thing like a douchebag (bury it in their backyard) YOU will be out that week.

ArticleXIIAmendments
1. The Kevin Shute Amendment (applies to Article I Section 1): a. If a non-player puts the bad thing in a player's possession, he/she may not remove it from that possession afterwards, or else the player who initially gave it to the non-player assumes possession once again. b. For example, say Raj (a player) gives Kevin Shue the bad thing. Then Kevin goes into Rob's (a player) car and places it on the seat. Kevin may not pick up the bad thing and leave the car with it and say Rob was the last to have possession. In that scenario, Raj still has possession of the bad thing

I hereby swear allegiance to all that is holy in bad thing
