IT

SPECIALISTS STAY IN ONE COMPANY FOR OVER FOUR YEARS

In Prague, February 9th - Advanced Search Technology recruitment company focused exclusively on the ICT market segment researching the departure of IT specialists selected by way of direct search and placements made to clients since 2007. Subsequent analysis shows that 51% of surveyed IT professionals remain in a new job for more than four years, but exposed other interesting information as well. The Advanced Search Technology survey was aimed at IT professionals, who have found a new position thanks to the direct search during the period from 2007 until 2011. Research examined not only the length of employment, but also the reasons for their leaving. "Our survey showed very positive numbers. Almost three quarters of experts searched by us stay with our clients one year and the data is very favorable in the following years also, "says Lukas Dockal, managing partner of Advanced Search Technology, and adds: "If we realize what a lack of quality IT professionals is in the market and how competitive this market segment is, the results of our work are very encouraging and show a high standard we hold long term."

It is worth to also mention information about new staff leavings. Only 5% of them leaving the company during the trial period, suggesting a relevant selection of candidates for IT positions. The reasons for employees leaving after the trial period are distributed evenly between employees and employers according to the survey. Interesting information is offered in analysis of an employees decision to change their job. The most common reason is financial conditions, which resulted in the leaving of 30% of IT professionals, as the second respondents reported unsatisfactory job roles in 23%. Both these figures are particularly significant for employers who can actively influence it in the future.
