Axel Dreher and the Rise of European Bureaucracy in Economics

By Joshua Konov, 2012 The system of financing of researches in Economics in the European Union is well censured and contra-productive. Prof. Axel Dreher from Heidelberg University is a good example of this kind of scientific censured approach for discussing and actually trying to solve problems to enhance the theory of economics that can bring some practical results. The Economics in the EU is as flexible as it used to be in the Soviet Union in where the dogmas of right and wrong were well stated, thus any unsuitable questions were either totally avoided or left unanswered. Well, as the Soviet Communist Economics showed its fruits so finally the whole block collapsed, so the European Union neo-liberal Economics is bringing very similar results, whereas from Greece and Portugal to Italy and France the whole system is about to collapse too. I dare to say that many of the market conditions created by the economics of philosophers like Axel Dreher have contributed to what happen in the EU, because as the history has shown from the time of Karl Marx and Adam Smith to Keynes and the modern day economists their impact on the real markets/economies has been as affecting as it could be, indeed. What the ideologies and believes in economics may do to markets/economies is well traced and considered clear in comprehension. Hence, the most distinguishing line of such ideologization may be considered the stubborn and incoherent response the economists and philosophers sharing it have against anything they do not share, and anything differing from their ideologies and believes. They even start being part of somehow society of the faithful in which any fundamental questioning of their ideologies and believes is incomprehensible, so to speak the status-quo is beyond any questioning. Then it comes the end of real science and the coherent wondering and comes the time of dogmatic repetition of postulates. The limitless faith into the European bureaucracy in solving individuals problems has brought more bureaucracy and finally limitations of individual liberties, whereas the Brussels in addition to the National governments have taken over individual entrepreneurship by replacing it with phony subsidies and programs that finally have targeted more the top 10-20 percent of the rich and much ignoring the rest, whereas the market conditions in EU have become very hostile to the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) by establishing unfair market competition, and finally bringing total collapse of the possible employment. So to speak, the EU problems are not into lack of financing or capital, but these are more fundamental into the micro and macroeconomics of the European Union. Professor Axel Dreher is a good example of such an economist well repeating the theory of the economists from the time of Bismarck, by which economics is a very simple science (if it could be considered science at all), more like the relations into a large German family, however after the Second World War without the Marshall Plan to pour large chunks of capital into the German economy such a theory would not possibly work at all; and coming in recent times, without the Chinese orders for high-tech machinery the German economy could have been long ago under water? To look at the world and specifically into the EU as a large German family is not just cynical but even farther highly irresponsible, because actually Historically the First and the Second World Wars were resulted from a general simplification of Economics, by which a country may spent as much as it generates, even when the industrial production *in case of the presence, has gone far away into China or just left in Germany (yet), thus limiting and possibilities for such industrialization and high productivities of many other European countries. To believe in the magic results from accelerated austerity measures is as inadequate and simple-minded as really it could be, so Mr.Dreher an accomplices, if you like the European Union to prosper, or even survive in the fast globalizing marketplace and rising productivities, you must reconsider your stand and accept different from yours positions, and stop treating the world with your simple vision, of I may say of the past!
