Your study offer is subject to accepting the following standard terms of admission. In order to apply for the student visa under the UK Border Agency Tier 4 point based system (PBS), you will require a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) issued by College of EastLondon. A CAS is an individual reference number that is unique to you and college and contains personal information about you, the qualifications that we used to assess your suitability for the course of study, the duration of your course and the cost of tuition including any amount paid.

Standard Terms of Admission

3. All offers are subject to availability. The college reserves the right to change the content, timing and syllabuses of any of its courses and to run only those courses and modules for which sufficient numbers of students enrol. Courses will only run when they have received approval to do so under the academic requirements. 4. In the event that a course is unable to run, for whatever reason, the college will notify applicants/students at the earliest opportunity. In these circumstances the college will seek to offer a suitable alternative course. If such provision were not available or acceptable, applicants/students would be expected to notify the College of their withdrawal from the College in writing. Following this formal withdrawal the College would consider an appropriate refund of any tuition fees received. 5. In order to enrol as a student, an applicant must: i) Satisfy, or be formally exempted from the academic requirements prescribed by the College for admission to the course. ii) Pay, or make satisfactory arrangements for the payment of, fees at the beginning of the course by all students who have confirmed acceptance of a place. 6. Students are required to enrol at their designated enrolment session, or by arrangement, no later than the end of the second week from the start date of the course. 7. If a student have made arrangements for the payment of fees in accordance with 3(ii) above, subsequently defaults on the arrangement, s/he will be liable to be suspended from the College. Such a student will remain liable for payment of the full course fees for the year. The college reserves the right to take legal action for the recovery of outstanding fees, whether or not the debtor is currently a student of the College. 8. Course fees are not refundable or transferable. In exceptional circumstances, refunds or partial refunds may be granted at the direction of the college. 9. Student shall observe and be bound by policies of the college from time to time in force. Policies are available on the website and can be requested from the Admissions Office. 10. Fees are subject to refund in the following circumstances: i) Student application for visa has been refused on general grounds a registration fee of 200 will be deducted from the amount paid to cover the administration expenses. All refunds should be supported by refusal letters and passport copies along with written request. ii) Withdrawal of Admission, In case of withdrawal student must submit withdrawal letter within 4 weeks before the course start date. A fee of 1000 will be deducted from the amount paid. All refunds will be processed in 4-5 weeks from the request date. 11. Fees are not subject to refund due to non submission of required funds or academic dishonesty or fraudulent documents submitted to UK Border Agency. In case of non verification of documents student must provide supporting evidence as directed by the college. 12. Students granted visa or registered with the college are not applicable for refunds.
