(1) Senior Manager of Client Solutions (Integrated Marketing) USA TODAY The Senior Manager of Client Solutions/Marketing reports

to the USA TODAY's VP, Client Solutions, and is accountable for helping to drive revenue via the effective management of a team, (Manager & Project Lead), focused on the development of creative best -in-class multi-platform advertiser solutions that strategically support key advertiser objectives throughout key Sales periods and leverage the content equity of USA TODAY and Gannett. Although no formal Upfront exists, Sr. Manager must be mindful of industry planning and client sales cycles. Own process from brainstorm/ideation through program approvals, to overall pitch writing and presentation. Must collaborate with all CS team members, Sales, Research, Editorial, et al to develop new or customize existing opportunities based on meetings and/or RFPs. Responsibilities: AD SALES PARTNER - SOLUTIONS DEVELOPMENT - Learn and understand businesses of all key agency clients, be they Retail, QSR, Automotive, et al. Develop on-strategy Client Solutions that leverage the content equity of USA TODAY and - as appropriate - Gannett. Collaborate with all team members including those focused on content as well as with research, marketing, and creative to deliver solutions that are aligned with client budget, brand, timing, and objective AND that are executable from a timing and inventory standpoint. Confidently convey ideas and opportunities via self produced proposals and presentations that are timely, professional & cogent. TEAM MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP - Accountable for team

performance. Must oversee and guide team to ensure proper tracking of projects including RFP's and status updates facilitate workload management and the smooth transition of sold opportunities to the Execution team. Accountable for development of team members including coaching, feedback, reviews and - if necessary - discipline. THOUGHT LEADERSHIP - Lead creative ideation, brainstorming and strategy sessions with internal and external clients. Lead the definition and development of big ideas for creatively driven sales presentations and pitches, unconventional strategic thinking that drives revenue is encouraged. PROACTIVE CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT - Work with the Dept. VP, Sales and direct reports to provide constant and actionable feedback to those team members focused on Content and to NY based Merchandising/Mobile/Execution team re: client needs and NY Ad Agency insights. Act on requests from Content focused team to gather insights needed for upcoming content proposals or ideas for tentpole packages or potential franchise positions. It is expected that innovative, timely and executable revenue driving concepts and proposals will come from this process. Job Requirements: BA or BS from accredited college or University 7-10 years directly related Integrated Media Sales Marketing experience -Management experience -Extensive knowledge of media industry, entertainment landscape, integrated marketing & solutions, television, digital, print and social media -Experience working in Marketing at a large, multidimensional company across multiple brands -Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written presentation skills. Extensive knowledge of/experience with media, specifically (Cable & Broadcast, Digital, Social & Mobile/Tablet platforms) and with Entertainment industry in general. Print experience helpful but not necessary. Demonstrated expertise of developing cross-platform opportunities that drive revenue via alignment with corporate

revenue and overall Sales goals. Must have a keen understanding of the media business, of Ad Sales and must also have a respect for content and the creative/editorial process. Must be team-oriented, collaborative and have the ability to drive an agenda forward while also balancing needs of multiple conflicting stakeholders. This position has two direct reports but must also be able to inspire others to do what is needed without the benefit of a direct reporting structure and must therefore exhibit ability to lead via inspiration and vision. Must be passionate about the business with the ability to inspire and nurture the same in others. Exhibits core behaviors e.g., interpersonal relationship skills, communication, strategic thinking, problem-solving, strong work ethic & full-scale organization (over-arching to tactical). Ability to effectively manage complex relationships with a variety of internal/external counterparts. (2) Manager of Client Solutions (Integrated Marketing), USA TODAY As part of a team, (Sr. Mgr. & Project Lead), the Manager of Client Solutions NY must develop on-brand client solutions that leverage the content equity of USA TODAY and - as appropriate - Gannett. The manager of Client Solutions in NY will be a true partner with Sales - and is responsible for understanding - and solving for the needs of an agency or client across all distribution platforms and in any and all business categories. Responsibilities: AD SALES PARTNER - SOLUTIONS DEVELOPMENT - Learn and understand businesses of all key east coast agencies and

national advertising clients, be they Retail, QSR, Automotive, Entertainment, CPG, Travel, etc. Develop on-strategy Client Solutions that leverage the content equity of USA TODAY and - as appropriate - Gannett. Collaborate with content/programming partners as well as research, marketing and creative services to deliver marketing solutions that are aligned with client budget, brand, timing, and objective AND that are executable from a timing and inventory standpoint. Convey ideas and opportunities via self produced proposals and presentations that are timely professional & cogent. IDEATION & LEADERSHIP - Responsible for driving creative ideation that is client and solutions specific. Lead internal brainstorming and strategy sessions - responsible for capturing "big ideas" and solutions and communicating back to participants. External meeting brainstorming and ideation as directed by Sr. Manager. RFP PROCESS MANAGEMENT - RFP Management includes Solutions Development, Internal tracking systems, and Sales team communication. Responsible for working with team Project Lead to help develop and execute timely, accurate and executable RFP proposals. Present marketing proposals with Ad Sales (and Sr. Mgr. if appropriate) to clients and agencies. Job Requirements: BA or BS from accredited college or University At least four (4) years directly applicable experience in Integrated Media Sales Marketing working at a world class media company or agency. Solid knowledge of experience with media, specifically (Cable & Broadcast, Digital, Social & Mobile, Tablet platforms). Print experience helpful but not necessary. Must be adept at developing cross-platform opportunities that drive revenue via alignment with corporate revenue and overall Sales goals.
