Introduction

WelcometothissurveyonUNdevelopmentcooperationactivities. Theaimofthesurvey,whichisconductedinpartnershipwithBetterAid,anetworkofoveronethousandcivilsociety organizationsaroundtheworld,istogiveCSOsanopportunitytoprovidefeedback,withaviewtoimprovingthe performanceoftheUNdevelopmentsystematthecountrylevel. Thesurveyreportwillserveasanimportantinputtothe2012quadrennialcomprehensivepolicyreview(QCPR)ofthe GeneralAssembly(GA)ofUNoperationalactivitiesfordevelopment. TheQCPRisthemechanismthroughwhichtheGAassessestheeffectiveness,efficiency,coherenceandimpactofUN operationalactivitiesfordevelopmentandestablishessystemwidepolicyorientationsforthedevelopmentcooperation andcountrylevelmodalitiesoftheUNsystem. ThesurveyrespondentsareofficialsofcivilsocietyorganizationswhoworkcloselywithoneormoreUNagenciesatthe countrylevel.
