Camp Hill Tree Order

The Camp Hill Shade Tree Commission accepts orders for street trees to be planted in the borough. Trees are 10to 12 tall, 1.5to 2in diameter at the base. They arrive bare root (ie. without a ball or container of soil around the roots.) The roots are dipped in a gel to retain moisture, but the trees MUST be planted within one week of delivery. Deliveries are expected in late April and late October; buyers will be notified of the precise date one week in advance. PLEASE NOTE: Deadlines are March 15 for spring planting and September 15 for fall planting. (Public ROW is generally between the sidewalk and the curb, or within 8 of road if no sidewalk.) (2) Tree must be planted within one week of delivery. (3) Buyer must arrange to pick the tree up from the distribution point in the borough. (They are lightweight and can easily be hand carried by one to two people.) (4) Buyer must attend a brief tree planting training session that will be provided at the time trees are distributed. (5) Buyer must contact the PA One Call System (8-1-1) at least 3 days prior to planting to ensure that underground utilities are marked before digging.
