Welcome to Worship
elcome to New Hope Church, a place for new beginnings! If you are visiting, you will discover a loving, spirit-filled church family. Here is some helpful information as you join us in worship today: All who worship here are equals in the sight of God, regardless of race, age, gender, physical disability or religious affiliation. Communion, when celebrated, is open to all who profess Christ as Lord and Savior, whether affiliated with this church or not. Children may partake of Communion as well, if parents approve. A nursery is available during the service; please see a greeter for directions. (This is for infants and children up to 3 years of age.) Handicap-accessible restrooms are located off the narthex (foyer) and adjacent to the entrance lobby in the Fellowship Hall/Gym. Please remember to sign the attendance folder at your pew so we will have a record of your visit with us today. Thank you for remembering to silence your cell phone during the service. No food or beverages in the sanctuary, please. If you arrived as a visitor we hope that you leave as a friend and worship with us often! New Hope Church exists to: Glorify God in worship and rejoice in our life together; Share the Good News of the Gospel in word and deed; Reach as many as we can with the saving love of Jesus; Help each person grow toward Christian maturity; And find their place of service in the church and in the world.

Ministries/Activities Within Our Church

Ushers needed Eld. Bill Brown is the head of New Hopes Usher Ministry and needs a few more volunteers to help him out. This is a very important job because the ushers are the face of New Hope for visitors on Sunday mornings. Bill will give you thorough instructions and training for this position which would only require one Sunday a month. Childrens Worship! This is a high energy, high volume children's program that allows kids to have fun and learn morals and values from the Bible that will last them a lifetime. This program will take place every Sunday during the 10am worship time. We will call this class "New Hope Kidz! Youth Worship on Wednesday Nights @ 6:00 at New Hope - teens (grades 7 12) experience a contemporary and motivated style of worship. We have a service with prayer, singing praises to God and a youth-focused sermon that teach the truths from Gods Word in a way teens relate to and understand. Pastor Brad leads this service and opens the doors for teens to start coming at 5pm to hang out, play

games, and talk. Pastor Brad says, We love hanging out together and worshiping an awesome God! Stephen Ministry is a program that selects and trains laypeople for Christian caregiving. Stephen Ministers in our church are certified and trained to help people go through the many transitions and challenges in life. Our Stephen Ministers serve anyone in need, both within and outside the church. Call the church office if you are interested in receiving care through the Stephen Ministry program. Stephen Ministers are the CaregiversGod is the Curegiver! New Hope Choir Led by Ben, the New Hope choir is more than just a choir. It is a small group that meets on Sunday evenings to, yes, practice some songs, but also to fellowship, express concerns, reflect on a devotional together and pray for one another. Those in the choir are blessed to be in it together. Join the choir and find out why! They meet every Sunday evening at 6:00. Small Groups Starting February 8 April 25. Group one: Forty Days in the Word will use excellent material provided by Rick Warren, the author of The Purpose Driven Life. The goal is to get people deeper into reading and study of the Word of God. It is a Bible-based discipleship training course. Rich and Kathy Binney will lead this study. Group Two: Fire Proof Your Marriage. The materials in this course are a series of videos which will provoke discussion on ways to make good marriages better. It will not be content centered, where someone teaches you lessons. Rather the videos will facilitate discussion. It will be fun and helpful. Russ and Dana Winkler will lead this group. Group Three: This will be a group that will plan the celebration of the th churchs 200 Anniversary, and study some other ways to make our church more effective. We need a variety of people in this group: Some will study the history of the church. Some will be project managers. Some will plan the publicity. Light food will be available from 5:30 6:00 in the fellowship hall, and it is ok to take it to your group. Please indicate on the sign-up sheets in the Narthex if you need to take advantage of the light food and/or if you need child care.
