Q.1.A manager of a bank comes with the symptom of a problem Profitability at a bank is declining as customers are shifting to other banks. As a researcher, identify the problem (root cause of the symptom) through a scientifically crafted research proposal. Answer: Problem identification The problem in this case is that the customers are excepting high rate of interest on their saving and low interest rate on the borrowings, quick and easy lone which is being provided by the other bank A) Management Dilemma The management is in dilemma that weather to increase their customer by reducing their profit margin (i.e.by reducing borrowing rate of interest) or to try to introduce new policy to retain and to create new customer B) Management Question What steps are needed to retain the existing customers? How to provide better services than their competitors?

Answer: Problem identification The main problem in the FMCG company case is that the customers are not satisfied with the quality of the products and these products are more expansive as compared to their competitors.
