Last week, a barely noticed, game changer scientific paper was released by the UKs prestigious Meteorological Office (MO) at the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit. Its conclusions were blunt, its ramifications enormous: so-called Global Warming is now only not happening, it actually ended 15 years ago! The scientific study, which flies in the face of the official position of the United Nations and many countries, is the latest nail in the coffin for advocates of Global Warming, epitomized by personalities such as former US vice-president Al Gore. After studying the measurements of 30,000 different weather stations, the MO study concluded that the planet essentially stopped warming 15 years ago in 1997. It comes on the heals of a study published by NASA several months ago which essentially concluded the same thing, based on measurements from its Earth Observer satellite. To make matters worse, satellite measurement data by the European Space Agency has proven that sea levels in the oceans have dropped for the past two consecutive years, the exact opposite of what one would expect if all the ice were busy melting because of runaway greenhouse gasses warming the planet. The MOs official conclusion is a stunning reversal from its previous position as published in a study released back in July, 2010, which boldly declared that the evidence for Global Warming due to human activity was unmistakable. With proverbial egg now on their collective faces, the Meteorological Office has also warned that not only has Global Warming stopped, the planet should actually now start getting colder, despite undeniable record high levels of CO2 in the atmosphere.

The key cause for this is the sun and the cooling temperatures of the oceans, whose roles are always downplayed if not outright ignored by Global Warming advocates who instead obsess over greenhouse gas emissions. Solar cycles of sunspot activity follow an eleven year period. Now that this time window has passed, solar activity will be at its minimum, causing temperatures to plunge. The Met has warned that should conditions repeat themselves along the lines of what the UK experienced in the 1700s, the Thames River will freeze again and could be stuck (as it was in the past) with a frozen cycle each winter. 1.0v1 January 31, 2012 Kal K.
