Sunday, January 29th First Communion Parent Meeting


Thurs., Feb. 2nd at 7:30 pm Or Sun., Feb. 5th at 2:00 pm Parents of children who have registered at OLS Parish for First Communion are reminded of their commitment to attend a Parent Preparation Meeting for First Communion. Please attend the meeting which best suits your schedule. Reminder: meeting is for parents only.

OLS Youth Ministry is hosting its 2nd annual parish soup day this weekend! All parishioners are invited to come and warm up with a hot bowl of homemade soup and a roll for $3 and help support St. Gregorys Orphanage in India. On the menu: three different soups, made from scratch: chicken noodle, minestrone, and butternut squash.

Confirmation Enrolment Ceremony


A reminder for all candidates who have registered at OLS parish for Confirmation: Each candidate for Confirmation is to compose a one page letter, addressed to Fr. Nino Cavoto, (as the Pastor) expressing why he or she wants to be Confirmed. This letter will be presented to the Priest at either the Saturday evening Mass or any of the Sunday Masses next weekend: Feb. 4th or 5th. Fr. Nino Celebrates his 35 Anniversary of Priesthood! Fr. Nino was ordained on April 16th, 1977. In order to share in his celebration, the parish is planning a dinner on the evening of Friday, April 13th. Pencil this date in your calendar. Details of location and ticket sales will follow in upcoming bulletins.

Vatican Choir Rehearsal


OLS is on its way to the Vatican. Pilgrims and singers are invited to take this Pilgrimage. The first rehearsal of the OLS Vatican Choir will be Saturday morning, Feb. 11, 8:30 - 10:00. 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life
This Thursday, Feb. 2nd, we rejoice and celebrate this day of prayer. Over the years, many men and women have chosen to live out their baptismal vocation by professing the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience. They do this by joining a religious congregation, a secular institute, or through private vows. We pray for these people and ask God to bless our Church with others who will dedicate their lives to Gods service. All are welcome to a special Mass: This weekend: Sunday, Jan. 29th at 3:00 pm St. Pauls Basilica Come and celebrate with and pray for, these men and women religious who are such a vital and important part of the life and ministry of the Church in our Archdiocese.
