CONTEXT FOR THE TASK 80% of small businesses fail within the rst ve years and most multimedia businesses in Australia are small businesses. Multimedia businesses are destined to fail. You are a HSC student, who can make money from their knowledge in multimedia by starting a business. How will you be successful? How will you plan, design and create a successful business? You will have 4 modules to plan your major presentation. There will be presentations of your groups progress at the end of every full day.

THE TASK Students are to prepare, in groups of 5 a solution that will ensure the success of a small business. This must be multimedia based. Checkpoints/Submissions for each module: Module 1: A presentation, uploaded to youtube, that outlines what your product is and a plan for how your business will be successful. Module 2: A proposal for what you are going to produce for your project (ie, how you are going to market your product). This proposal will include how you are going to split up the project to ensure that every person has a component. It will be in the form of a portfolio. Module 3: Presenting the progress of your practical project Module 4: Presenting the nal nished project.
