Experience counts. The Job Guide has been helping job seekers and recruiters connect since 1988. Blue collar, white collar, gold collar or collarless, job seekers use The Job Guide.
Introduce yourself. How do you turn your life story into a quick read? Visit a library or book store and spend an hour getting familiar with current resume formats. You will see that current styles emphasize skills and accomplishment rather than long job descriptions. Most resumes start with a summary of qualifications at the top. With this introduction, you summarize your experience and highlight the skills you want to showcase. Too often, job seekers bury critical information at the end. If you have 7 years experience in your field, a college degree and speak Spanish - those all go in your introduction. Capture the readers interest right away by stating your strengths in the first few lines.
