Album Cover Research for Digi

This is the from the Kasabian album, this shows some of the main conventions you would expect on a Album, it includes, the bands name 'KA5A8IAN' a sort of tribal logo, Album name and the normal conventional colours which would be used by a indie band, a light colour. The tribal logo which is used on the front is a pretty sharp but also light flowery type of drawing, I feel this is really powerful because it represents the band really well. From the front cover it is clear to see that it's a Indie band.

The back of the album from the 'Kasabian' has pretty much the same effect that the front cover has, it has the same tribal logo that the front of the album had, the font is a very curly type of handwriting this is the same as on the front cover where it has the name of the Album, on the back it has all the information which is needed, like the barcode the record label and the type of CD that the person should expect when they open the CD cover.

This is the front cover of the band 'Biffy Clyro' this also shows some of the main conventions you would expect on a Album, it has the bands name 'Biffy Clyro' and it has a clear green grass with a blue sky background where 2 people are standing in the middle holding two flags, Album name which is 'Only Revolution' and some bright impact full colours which don't really correspond to the normal indie genre conventional colours.

The back of the album is pretty much very similar to the front, I believe this is important because if there is a big difference in the front and the back the audience will feel it hasn't been very well thought out, the things that's changed on the back is that their isn't two people standing in the middle and the colour of the sheet is green, the most important thing it includes is the actual title of the songs it has included. This also includes the record labels, the barcode and information on the actual CD.

This is the front cover of the band 'Snow Patrol' this also shows that it has challenged the main colours and the main conventions of a normal indie band, it has the bands name 'Snow Patrol' but the colours that are used are more of a techno, retro type of colours and scenery for example their snowflake looks more like a futuristic object. Album name which is 'Up to NOW' and this also has some bright impact full colours which don't really correspond to the normal indie genre conventional colours. The back of this Album is really similar to the front cover, it has the same colours same font and the same logo, on the back it has the normal conventions which are expected, album information, barcode and the songs which are included in this Double disk special snow patrol Album.
