Director of Purchasing Managed and directed all purchasing activities and functions for company, compri sed of three divisions - Aerospace, Load Banks (Power Generation), and Industria l Automation - with separate engineers, sales groups, customers, and unique purc hasing requirements. Managed four senior buyers and three clerks while company grew from sales of $20MM to $83MM. Purchased by Morganthaler Equity Partners in 2006. Accomplishments: Maintained department size in face of growth from $20MM to $83MM in sales and $ 12MM to $30 MM in purchases, without compromising delivery or quality, by restru cturing roles and responsibilities, implementing process changes, and providing training and team leadership. Led change management in each division by establishing and implementing trainin g procedures for each management introduction or improvement: ISO, ERP, Resonanc e (demand/pull production), Lean, Kaizan and Gemba, VMI. Collaborated with suppl iers and internal customers on strategic buys for year over year cost savings. Acquisition by Morganthaler Partners required restructuring and new procedures to meet government regulations. Selected as point person to write, develop, and implement procedures addressing new requirements for small business subcontracti ng plan and AS5553.
