1. That is FuseSelector? FuseSelector is a software tool designed for cell phones that will allow professionals in the electricity as engineers, technicians and linemen, design, create, access and share their own custom table for electrical fuses and transformers, motors, capacitors and charges general electric, with options for database query type with up to two levels of classification and a third level customizable based on the voltage level of the team and the fuse. FuseSelector cell phone makes these professionals more than just a communication tool, allowing you to consolidate all fuse boards everyday in their daily work and take them everywhere in your pocket for future reference in your mobile. With FuseSelector a company can standardize a fuse chart for distribution to their brigades linemen. FuseSelector also comes with an extra application that makes the conversion of diameters awg conductors from the scale to millimeters and inches. The mobile phone version of Fuse Selector has two applications: TableCreator which is the application that allows fuibles parameterize a table and FuseSelector which is the application that allows queries with paramtrizadas tables TableCreator. Additionally, tools have been created in Microsoft Excel and Java that allow parameterization tables fuses that can then be used by FuseSelector. 2. That is not FuseSelector?. FuseSelector is a calculation tool for the selection of fuses and electrical protection coordination. With FuseSelector if you can organize, register and then check the results of a previous study of coordination of protections for Fuses and / or based on the specific characteristics of each computer and load. 3. Features.

Creating with the tool "TableCreator" Table of fuses from the same cell. It is distributed free online tools for creating tables from FuseSelector fuses compatible with Windows and Excel from Java SE for Windows, Linux, Apple OS. Use of "xml" as the format of information exchange with other users who have FuseSelector and PC based tools such as Java SE and Excel spreadsheets. The use of "xml" will allow you to create your table of fuses from a text editor, provided they respect the structure of the DTD and use UTF-8 as character encoding format. Available in Spanish, English, French and German. Allows selection of fuses for equipment. The teams are divided into categories and userdefined subcategorize that allow for easy later reference. Allows selection of fuses for driving lines according to the line current. The selection criterion is defined by the user for a diverse range of line current and ranges of ability to fuse selection with line current affected by a multiplier. There is an additional criterion of selection that is implied by voltage level.

The contents of each table and the relationships between them are shown in Fig.4

Figure 4

Table of voltages:

Are the voltages applied to the fuses and equipment that are listed in Tables Fuses and Equipment. Is an integer. The application does math with this parameter, only logical, therefore it is immaterial that the units are entering. Name of first and second criteria:

They are the names that describe the classification of teams. The second criterion is a sub category of the first. List of criteria for the first selection criterion:

Are the sub categories that apply to the first selection criterion. List of criteria for the second selection criterion:

Are the sub categories that apply to the second selection criterion. Table of fuses:

It is the database of fuses. It contains the following data fields:

Fuse Code: A code of up to 8-digit characters that identifies a fuse. Not supported over a fuse with the same code.

Voltage Lower and Higher Voltage Fuse: in some applications, a fuse can be applied to a range of voltages. For most situations, the values of both variables are equal. The voltage should be less than or equal to the higher voltage and must exist in the Table of fuses. Fuse type: The type of fuse.

Fuse capacity: is the nominal value of Amp Fuse.

Indices RGB (Optional): Applies only if the fuse are color-coded.

Each value, R, G and B is an integer value from 0 to 255. Table of Equipment:

It is the database of equipment.

Contains the following fields:

Equipment Code: A code of up to 8-digit characters that identifies a Team. Not allowed more than one team with the same code. Description of the Equipment.

Code of Fuse: The fuse code associated with the equipment. The fuse with the code must exist in the database Fuses.

Voltage Equipment: The voltage associated with the equipment. This value must exist in the table voltages.

Filter First Criterion: The category corresponding to the first selection criteria, which must be previously entered in the "LIST OF CRITERIA FOR THE FIRST SELECTION CRITERIA.

Filter Second Criterion: Is the category for the second selection criterion, which must be previously entered in the "LIST OF CRITERIA FOR THE SECOND SELECTION CRITERIA. This table structure all the information needed to classify the equipments into groups and subgroups, which may be consulted with FUSESELECTOR:

Table Constraints.

Constraints The table is intended to represent the different options for selecting fuses in an electrical circuit, taking into account the magnitude of the current in each phase.

An example of this is shown in the following box: Case 1.

Current x 1.4 <= FuseCapacity <= Current x 1.6 (RANGE)

To represent the selection of fuses for each leg of the circuit shown, should be described as follows: Where Current x 1.4 <Nominal Capacity Fuse (Amp) <current x 1.5 then:

If current <= 25 Amp then Fuse is Type 3

If 25 <current <= 50 Amp then Fuse is Type 2.

If 50 <Current <= 150 Amp then Fuse is Type 1.

For example, if the Fuse Table is a follows:

Fuse Code 01 02 03 06 07 08 10 11 12

Type Fuse Type 1 Type 1 Type 1 Type 2 Type 2 Type 2 Type 3 Type 3 Type 3

Capacity 20 23 25 40 45 50 120 130 145

If the current in the stretch is 30 amp then Fuse Selected is:

30 x 1.4 = 42 Amp <= Nominal Capacity Fuse <= 30x1.6 = 48 Amp Fuse type = Type 2. Fuse Selected = Fuse 07.
Max Operator

Current x 1.4 <= Fuse Capacity <= Current x 1.6 (RANGE)

Min Operator

ONLY Fuse 03

Given the foregoing, such restrictions table has the following fields:

k min: lower factor that is multiplied by the current to set the minimum current fuse that applies to the selection (1.4 in this example, only applies to restrictions such as "Range").

k max: upper Factor by which to multiply the power to set the maximum current of the fuse that applies to the selection (1.6 in this example, only applies to restrictions such as "Range")

Current line min: lower current applied to the selection criteria.

Current max line: higher current applied to the selection criteria.

Fuse Type: The type of fuse that applies to the selection criteria.

Restriction type: The type of restriction. "Only" if you choose a single type of fuse, independent of line current. "Range" if the selected fuse rated current applied in a line current range * k min <= rated current of fuse <= current max * k line.

Minimum Current Operator: Take one of the following values:

"GT" operator ">".

"GT_OR_EQ" operator ">=".

"EQ" operator "="

Applies to the minimum current.

Maximum Current Operator: Take one of the following values:

"LT" operator "<". "LT_OR_EQ" operator "<="

"EQ" operator "="

Applies to peak current

Operator Minimum Factor: Take one of the following values:

"GT" operator ">".

"GT_OR_EQ" operator ">=".

"EQ" "=" operator Apply for the Minimum Factor.

Max Factor Operator: Take one of the following values:

"LT" operator "<".

"LT_OR_EQ" operator "<="

"EQ" "=" operator

Applies to Max Factor 6. Temporal Databases and Database Main. TABLE SELECTOR FUSE CREATOR and use each Databases with the same structure but different name and stored in different repositories on the cell phone memory. This separation is made between a database you are creating / editing and your finished. The database used for database query or Principal is the SELECTOR FUSE handling and this in a state of creation / editing or temporary database is managed by TABLE CREATOR. When the temporary database is complete, this is due to transfer to the Main Database. This operation involves deleting the Principal Database previously created, which will be replaced by temporary database. It is recommended to delete the temporary database to save memory. 7. Create a Fuse Table.

With TABLECREATOR create a Table of fuses from a cell phone. From TABLECREATOR are created each of the required tables and the relationships between them. You can also create tables from Excel or from a Desktop as PCTableCreator program, which can be downloaded from www.phonetooltoo.com. To create the tables, you must keep the following sequence of creating tables:

Step 1. Create the Names of the first and second selection criterion. See Chapter 12 (What do they mean "First Name Selection Criteria" and "Name second selection criterion?.) For more clarity of these terms. Step 2. Create the Table of voltages.

Step 3. Creating the Classifications and Sub rankings and link them to the names of the classifications and sub classifications created in (1).

Step 4. Create the Table of fuses. If the Table of voltages has not been created, you can not create table Fuses. Enter the data of the fuses and fusible link to one of the voltages created in (2).

Step 5. Create Equipment Table. If the Table of voltages (2) and Table Fuses (4) and the Schedule of Classifications (3) have not been created, it is possible to create the equipments table. Enter the data link equipment and each team with a voltage, a fuse, a classification and sub classification. Step 6 . Add Selected Conditions Lines Fuses (restrictions).

The fuse will be selected for a line which meets any of the conditions entered here. These conditions can be:

If for (line I min <I line <= I max line) then:

Fuse Selected = (I line * k min <I fuse <= I * k line max)

> Line Current x Factor Mn (k mnimo) Current Min If Line Current = Current of Fuse Selected = < Current Max

< Line Current x Factor Mx (k mximo)

The data entered at the time of creation are:

k min: lower factor that is multiplied by the current to set the minimum current of fuse it applies to the selection,

k max: upper Factor by which to multiply the power to set the maximum current of the fuse that applies to the selection, I linea min: lower current applied to the selection criteria. I max line: higher current applied to the selection criteria.

Fuse Type: The type of fuse that applies to the selection criteria.

Step 7. Save: Saves the data created in memory as temporary tables.

Step 8 . Publish: It transfers the temporary table to the main table and replaced or

Publish and Delete: It transfers the temporary table to the main table and replaced. Delete the temporary table.

Step 9. Delete (Optional): Delete the temporary table.

Step 10 . Consult the table as fuses.

In the Main Menu after you log into the application, enter "FuseSelector" and display a menu with three options: Equipment Fuses, Fuse Line and Table awg-mm-inch.

Note: After creating the Table of fuses as indicated in 7. (How to create a Table Fuse ) the user should test the content and functionality of it, every chance entering and verifying that the results of all select queries are correct. Only if the user has verified the correct functioning of the applications described above, and the data entered in all cases, you can use for productive purposes and / or educational purposes.

8. Conversion AWG-mm-inch-circular mils. To use the unit conversion table AWG to metric and inch diameters and units of area in square millimeters, use this option.

9. Other Options.

Switch Voltage.

Selecting a table of the different voltages admitted to select the interest. Change Table. You can use an external file to load the database fuses. This should be called DatBase.xml, must follow a defined structure in xml format and must be stored in the mobile phone memory in the folder "Images". When using this option, the application will read that table and will be charged at the base internal database for future reference View List of Fuses.

Lists the current format Code Fuse + Fuses Type + Capacity Fuse.

To export.

Exports the current table fuses the images folder of the phone. The xml file will always have the name DataBase.xml and deletes the file with the same name as the previously saved in that folder.

The exported file will have the xml format and can then be sent to another cell phone via Bluetooth connection, USB or Infrared. In the telephone receiver, which must be previously installed FUSESELECTOR, the file will stay in the folder "Files Received" and should be moved to folder "Images" so it can be read by the application. Restart Tables.

Deletes the current table.
