ALBRECHT 2176 Peppermill Road Lapeer, Ml 48446 810-691-8225 OBJECTIVE Electro-mechanical control system design and implementation CAREER SUMMARY 29 years of engineering and maintenance experience at General Motors Corporation , Delphi Automotive Systems and Bartech Group in control systems design, process control & instrumentation, error-proofing, continuous improvement, and related training of maintenance and supervisory personnel in the above areas. Highly ski lled in electro-mechanical control systems, from initial electrical control hard ware evaluation through design, installation, and de-bug phases of new automatio n projects. Last two promotions at G.M. & Delphi due specifically to ability to understand overall system operation & integration, and the ability to relate kno wledge to maintenance and supervisory personnel. ELECTRO-MECHANICAL CONTROL SYSTEMS * Installed initial Modicon 584 programmable logic controllers (PLC). First full y redundant higher level PLC system operating in the U.S. Collaborated with vend or's engineers to ensure maximum operation in shortest period of time. * Refined and debugged all pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical drive systems, Lo gitrol 400 programmable controller, and SCR powered resistance rod holding furna ce subsystems. Total project value $18,000,000. * Designed, implemented, installed, and debugged automated material handling sys tem. 100% responsibility for $150,000 electrical section of $500,000 project. * Restored electrical control and power distribution systems on major molding li ne destroyed by fire: formulated least-time approach for establishing extent of damage, documenting removal of old wiring and input/output devices, installing n ew, and de-bug procedures. Directed 30 electricians and 5 maintenance supervisor s. System restored in 5 days using 15 straight shifts. Undercut conservative tim e estimates by more than 100%. * Upgraded instrumentation maintenance group from use of air signal transducer-r eceiver hardware to electronic transducer-receiver hardware. Instructed 25 hourl y and salaried personnel, up to superintendent level, in the proper use of Leeds and Northrop Digilab electronic iron chemistry analyzer. Identified prior misun derstanding of capabilities and limitations of the instrumentation with the corr esponding misuse of chemistry data; demonstrated how instrumentation could be ef fectively used to obtain more reliable data through proper use and accurate cali bration methods.

* Designed, implemented, installed and debugged compact PLC-based Individual Bui ld Modules for molded plastic air filtration systems including assembly sequence control, error-proofing, and "friendly reminder" operator interface. * Lead Senior Controls Engineer for Delphi Flint West Generator Project, respons ible for all phases of both CS & AD model generator manufacture. Equipment contr ol architectures spanned 30 years of relay, PLC and computer technology, from la te 1960's Modicon 184 controlled equipment to present day Allen Bradley & Modico n compact PLC's and industrial PC-based test equipment.
