Programming of reports was completed in SAP Business Warehouse and SAP R/3 - Materials Managem ent and Integrated Contract Management System components. Responsible for creat ion of potential small business supplier database in Microsoft .NET Framework th at included supplier on-line registration, financial validation, and supplementa l supplier information obtained from U.S. Small Business Administration supplier database. Implemented multi-sector SAP eProcurement System, creating common business pract ices between diverse business areas (aircraft, electronics and ships); automated procurement process, reducing cycle time from over 40 days to 5 days through au tomation of purchase order creation process and elimination of buyers in purchas ing transactions; installed bar coding to automate receiving process; and implem ented evaluated-receipt system. Consolidated two procurement systems with $1.8B of active purchase orders, reducing information technology costs. Implemented procurement card program accounting for $180M in yearly transactions. SCM - CORPORATE PROCUREMENT Reduced the cost of material spending and improved on-going procurement process effectiveness through centralized sourcing, supply chain process improvement, an d formation of alliance management teams. Established cost-saving drivers netti ng savings of $500M over five years through the use of commodity spend aggregati on, and achieved process improvement through reduction of information technology and personnel costs. Prepared electronic contract catalogs for eProcurement sy stem, resulting in placement of corporate-wide indirect catalog orders and proce ssing of all non-MRP direct material requisitions. SCM - PROGRAM MANAGEMENT Directed activities of a Long Island based supply chain management organization with material commitments in excess of $800M per year. Managed entire supply ch ain management process from generation of requirements to disbursement of materi al to assembly line. Implemented process-improvement programs for process-based metrics, creating significant improvements in part supply and part quality. Im proved overall part supply through reduction in shortages from over 1,000 to les s than 75.
