* RESUME: KENNETH A. KARKAU, RA PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE * KARKAU & ASSOCIATES (Brentwood, TN) 1990 to 2010.

I directed 7 employees, succ essfully providing superior building design expertise and timely delivery for Ho spitals, Clinics and Nursing Homes, Religious, Educational, Industrial, Hospital ity, Commercial, Government (Fed/ State/ Municipal), and Multi-Family Homes for a total of 300 projects, total construction costs over $400 million. I am a st aunch self starter, and tireless worker, insisting on accurate and thorough docu ments to avoid construction problems and changes for my clients, consulting engi neers and contractors. My experience as a Construction Manager on 2 Office buil dings, and 7 residences designed and built, enhances my understanding and credib ility with contractors. I have developed and maintained strong relations with c lients as a prime priority, working within schedule and budgets. I strive to in troduce unique design options for better results. My client retention is a prim e priority for me, with several clients with 15-20 year relations. Clarksville Manor Nursing Home (TN Health Management) with 120 skilled beds in Clarksville, TN is my most recent large project, completed 10/2009, construction cost: $11.5 million. I am proficient in AutoCad and currently work on version 2007. I also utilize Microsoft Office Word 2007, Office Outlook, Excel & Adobe. A full list of projects and selected photos can be sent on request. * Removed to Nashville in 1988, I assumed the Architecture Department Manager fo r 25 employees for BARGE-WAGGONER-SUMNER-CANNON. During my time there, I had tw o projects awarded for excellence (see below). Two years later, I accepted the Manager Architect Group, at LOCKWOOD-GREENE in Nashville managing 12 employees, working on industrial for Bridgestone Corporation, in Morrison, TN and GM Saturn Plant in Spring Hill and other industrial and municipal projects. * KARKAU & ASSOCIATES originated in Edmond, OK, 1981 with 11 employees taking ov er McCaleb associates when Neal McCaleb ran for Governor. I developed new client s, provided excellent service, performed unique work with many Native Indian Tri bes, Federal projects with DOD military, Veteran Hosp. & DHHS, including passive and active solar projects, local schools, commercial, churches, schools and Mul ti-family homes. I won runner-up design for the Altus AFB - Consolidated Mainte nance/ Operations Facility (AWACS) design. I also created a minority collaborat ive, OMNI DESIGN GROUP, to win many federal projects. Due to the Oil recession, my business closed, and I moved to Nashville August 1988. * Prior experience included work as licensed architect project manager with MNT Architects & Engineers in Edmond, OK with extensive experience with Educational, Commercial, Government (Fed/State/Municipal), DOD, Religious, Native Indian Tri bes, and Medical projects. My 3 yr. Architect internship was in Western Michiga n where I passed the full Architect Registration Examination on first setting. * ASSOCIATIONS NCARB Certified - Held license in 18 states, AIA, and CSI
