Was a member of the senior management team that took Hussmann onto the NYSE in 1 997, reporting direct to the CEO, culminating in Hussmann's acquisition by IR in 2000. Led Hussmann's expansion into Latin America, guiding South America expans ion through acquisitions and distribution development; South America sales grew from 10 Million in 1996 to over $70Million in 2002, in addition to the Mexico b usiness of over $100 Million in annual revenues. EBITDA for these combined busi nesses was in excess of $30 million. * Grew South America business from $10 Million business to over $70 Million from 1996 to 2002. * Saved over $20M in annual fixed costs by directing the consolidation of five p lants into two plants in Brazil and Mexico. * Managed the relocation of products from US facilities to those in Mexico, tran sferring Hussmann's single largest volume product line and resulting in a 20-poi nt profit margin improvement on over $80 million in sales. * Launched a successful highly innovative new product for the beer industry, dr iving sales in Brazil by over $30M per year and gaining top share in the Latin A merican beer market, with sales of over 500,000 units of this product over four years. * Implemented lean manufacturing and six sigma initiatives in all facilities und er my direction in Latin America from 1998 through 2002. * Acquired the third manufacturer of supermarket cases in Brazil, restructured t he product-line, and upgraded management, to number 1 in the market in 2003. * Restructured business away from unprofitable beverage cooler business and towa rds ice cream end user markets and products, restoring profitability of the plan t. * Redesigned the manufacturing layout of several of the assembly areas resulting in 30% productivity improvements in labor hours. * Reduced order to ship time from 21 to 8 working days, while at the same time i mproving inventory turns by 50%. Controller, Hussmann Dumas Arkansas (1985-1988) Plant controller for a new startup manufacturing plant. Responsible for financi al reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, annual business plan development, acco unts payable, plant information systems and payroll. * Built new financial reporting systems and costing systems including BOM from t he ground up for new plant launch, and hired/trained entire new accounting depar tment. * Introduced significant new systems in the manufacturing area to create a pull type manufacturing system which increased inventory accuracy, reduced inventory quantities, and contribute d to reductions in inventory levels and decreases in order to ship times. * Led special projects for the factory to analyze and transfer products from oth er facilities.
