Initiated and managed the Material Review Board to disposition rejected material that previously was stockpiled and not accounted for financially. Results: Actu al scrap costs were transacted to the proper account in the new MRP system and r ework orders were prioritized and created for material as required so all costs were captured. Cratex Manufacturing Implemented material requirements planning system in record time. Faced with fin ancial stress after a plant move, worked very long hours to prepare MRP and maxi mize its capabilities. Results: Increased accuracy and visibility of data; reduc ed lead times 60% saving customers and perhaps saved the company. Created data base in Q&A (Symantec) mimicking data entry screens in MRP for use in plant. Uploaded and download data seamlessly between MRP in San Diego and Q&A in Tijuana via floppy disk. Results: Problems were discovered at 1st data-entry point and corrected; increased the accuracy and timeliness of data which saved time and money. Employed new import rules to reduce tariff costs. Independently performed the re quired tasks to qualify for tariff reductions on six raw materials. Results: Sav ed the company about $22K annually in tariff costs on non-NAFTA materials. Reduced scrap on regulating wheels with recesses. Results: Saved $3500 to $6000 per month in scrap by eliminating fissure problem. Developed new programming procedure. Revised production programming to maximize

efficiency and moderate lead time increases while shutting down the boiler and p resses one day per week. Results: Saved 20% on propane and approximately 10% on electricity. SKF Condition Monitoring Solved quality problem on principle unit sold. Researched and discovered design flaw causing shorts in control panels. Results: Saved thousands in repair costs and received letter of appreciation from the V.P. of Manufacturing. Discovered inventory control errors for expensive stock. Analyzed optimum invent ory levels for various materials based on actual and forecasted usage and adjust ed inventory and purchasing parameters. Results: Minimized inventory costs, stoc k outs and lead times for final products. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE PRODUCTION CONTROL MANAGER July 2009-December 2010
