APPLICATIONS
HYDAC ECOmicron-fit elements are environmentally compatible BETAFIT elements that provide an excellent replacement for competitors fully synthetic inserts including conventional filter elements and coreless elements. These elements are designed for hydraulic or lubrication applications where crushable or incinerable elements are necessary. These filters can be used in recirculation systems and/or lubrication systems for extraction of solid particles from fluids used in industrial processes. They are suitable for most hydraulic and lubrication oils.
PRODUCT FEATURES
Element Construction:
Media seam ultrasonically welded with a patented HYDAC process which is temperature resistant over 200F
PRODUCT BENEFITS
PRODUCT IMPLEMENTATION
During initial conversion to ECOmicron fit element, a separate bypass valve is required with new element. The same bypass valve will be reused for all future element change-outs. Please see page 2 for bypass valve options and ordering information and page 4 for installation instructions.
Element Change-Out
HYDAC: The HYDAC special plastic core technolgy prevents the media pack from becoming axially compressed or extruded into the core. This makes for quicker element changeout, less dowtime, and reduced service labor. COMPETITION: The HYDAC ECOmicronfit maintains all the benefits of competitive products that contain no inner core, while preventing media collapse and element degredation associated with these products. This insures superior performance throughout the service life of the element.
Lightweight Design:
for ease of handling during shipment and maintenance
Fluid Compatibility:
Compatible with most hydraulic and lubrication fluids. Please consult factory for synthetic fluid use.
Interchange:
ECOmicron-fit elements are interchangeable with PALL, and Schroeder, coreless style elements. See next page for specific element models. In some cases, One ECOmicron-fit Model will replace multiple models of the competition. This saves the customer money and simplifies inventory.
Bypass Valve
HYDAC: Bypass valve mounts in the top of the element which prevents contamination present in the bottom of the filter from passing downstream when the valve opens. COMPETITION: Bypass valve attached to bottom of the support tube which allows contamination migration when the valve opens.

Step 2: Remove coreless element. This step may require a twisting action to break loose the media which tends to extrude through and bind with the core.
Step 6: Once the core is loose, use two pairs of pliers to pull the core up and off of the outlet shroud at the bottom of the housing.
Step 7: Lift core up and out of the housing. Dispose of core in a manner that is consistent with local environmental regulations.
Step 8: Lubricate the O-ring at the bottom of the new ECOmicron-fit element, and insert the new element into the housing until it rests on the bottom.
Step 9: Install core O-ring around core stem making sure that it rests completely in the machined channel. Lubricate the new core o-ring.
Step 12: Insert the provided dowel-pin into the hole through the notch on the bypass valve tab. Use a ball-peen hammer to tap the pin in until completely seated. This will lock the bypass valve in place. Step 13: Place lid back on filter housing being sure that the bypass valve seats properly into the top of the element. Use a twisting motion to avoid damaging the O-ring.
Step 11: Attach bypass valve to lid by rotating the bypass valves three tabs into the lids three slots. Be sure to match the notched tab with the drilled slot.
Step 14: Tighten wing handles on lid by turning them in a clockwise direction. Tighten to the torque specified in the manufacturers instructions.

Step 10: Using a twisting motion, push down on the element until it seats properly upon the outlet shroud at the bottom of the housing.
