Bangalore is a unique centropolis - needs to be developed into an international city Develop Bangalore into a hub for think-tanks, knowledge centre and research in security related issues Synergise public-private partnership to participate in flag-ship projects in neighbourhood - Look East Policy

Leverage Karnataka's potential in external trade, investment, education and medical health Create a first class infrastructure that provides solutions to Bangalore's safety and security problems Invite central government to hold vertical interaction with civil society, think tanks and others at Bangalore

Conclusions/Recommendations
Compelling need to make studies in national security part of university curriculum in the state Sensitize public servants, both state and others in aspects of national security Encourage private sector to participate in vital issues of national security Examine possibility of involving political representatives at local self government level, Assembly and Parliamentarians in such exercises Involve the media prominently in this activity
