Bentall was founded in Vancouver,
British Columbia, Canada, in 1911 when
an engineering and construction special-
ist named Charles Bentall joined Dom-
inion Construction. In the 20th century,
the organization evolved as a developer
and manager throughout Canada and, in
the mid-1980s, into the United States.
Today, Bentall is an integrated real
company’s service products in the United States.
According to Astles, Bentall acts as a fiduciary for 79 mil-
lion square feet of real estate across more than 600 proper-
ties currently valued at $15 billion (Canadian). The compa-
ny has headquarters in Vancouver and employs 1,100 peo-
ple throughout Canada.
