Course registration period: The period during which students select the courses they want to attend the following term. Registration usually takes place in December and June. Every student is allowed to register for any course he/she wants to. A registration application informs the student about whether he/she meets the enrollment pre-requisites specific for the course or not. The information about students' preferences obtained during the registration period is consequently used for making timetables. Course enrollment period: The period during which course registration is confirmed. The student with successful registration (meeting enrollment pre-requisites, course not being full, etc.) is enrolled either by the System (automatically) or by the Study Department. The student with unsuccessful registration (pre-requisites not met, course being full or exclusively offered to some other fields) can be enrolled by the Study Department. The teacher can also grant the unsuccessfully registered student an enrollment exception (applied for by the student electronically), which renders the registration successful. During the course enrollment period it is also possible to register for some additional courses as well as cancel the registration previously done. Apart from the course enrollment it is also the students progress verification and his/her enrollment in another term that take place during the period. The latter is done by the Study Department. Course enrollment changes: It is usually possible to make changes in course enrollment during the first two weeks of every term, i.e. the period when it is still possible to modify study plans (enroll or cancel enrollment in courses). Examination period: The period during which the teacher has to provide examination dates. Extended examination period: The examination period may be extended if it is divided by, for instance, spring holidays. Seminar-group-enrollment period: The period during which students are divided into groups listed under the same course, i.e. the period during which they choose and enroll in seminar groups, practice groups, language and physical education classes, clinic internship groups and the others listed in timetables with no code of their own (since they do not represent independent courses). Teachers can define the length of the period using Teacher's Notebook. Provided they decide not to do so, the application uses default settings. Timetable released: The item specifies the date on which a timetable is made accessible to students and from which it is possible to make reservations for classrooms in the selected term. If no date is specified, the timetable is not made accessible to students and there are no restrictions placed on classroom reservations.
