Artists and organizations may submit projects in the visual arts (2 and 3 dimensional, media based works, installations, site specific works, as well as experimental modes are all acceptable) and the performing arts (dance, theatre, music, multidisciplinary arts, and performance art). Proposals should align with TBH's mission: to educate all by
preserving, promoting and presenting Latino arts and culture.
Preference is given to new artworks designed for TBH's space and which have not been presented in Houston
before. To view images of our gallery and theatre click here. [http://tinyurl.com/theatre-pics] TBH accepts projects from local, national and international artists. We are interested in submissions which engage with local communities and include an educational component, either through direct interaction at the opening reception and/or throughout the duration of the exhibition or performance. (Examples: Q & A session, artist workshops, panel discussions, student presentations) We invite artists of different origins and communities to: explore the context of their cultural backgrounds propose innovative creative processes engage in open dialogue with tradition and culture We encourage invitations to attend your shows, public performances or other artistic activities.
