METHODOLOGY
I have selected Questionnaire in order to evaluate understand the Motivation. and

For filling up the questionnaire, Edelweiss Group Company was selected. This Questionnaire consists of 10 questions which are designed in such a way that it would touch only the important nook and corners of the concept of motivation. This questionnaire was filled by the top, middle and the lower level managers. Only these employees were selected so as to evaluate the factors depending upon the hierarchy of the organization. The first question deals with the mission and vision of the organization. For the second question I have considered certain motivational factors and the employees were asked to rank them in the order of preference. The factors considered are hygiene factors, monetary factors, growth factors, superior subordinate relations and appraisal factors. The questions prepared are in association with the current job. It includes questions that are related to the working environment of the company, recreational facilities etc.

The last question is based on the type of organization preferred by the employees of Edelweiss Group. The type posed in this question is flat organization, vertical organization.

STUDY
Instead of case study, questionnaire method is selected for the project entitled Motivation. Simple 10 objective questions are included to understand the importance of motivation. These questions were asked to fill by the top, middle and lower level managers. For this the Edelweiss Group company was selected. 5 managers were chosen to fill up the same. With the help of this survey conducted, the employees could understand themselves what motivates them the most to work productively. A ranking was done among the factors to understand which factor motivates the most. The factors included are, hygiene factors, monetary factors, appraisal factors, superior subordinate relationship etc.

Herzberg approach is considered in the project. Organizational managers pay more attention to motivation that is given at the time of performing the task/work as this often produce good results. Hey employees may be motivated when the job is challenging, when there is a possibility of growth and achievement. Herzberg identifies that the employees work productively when they are motivated at the time of work. It means that the employees productive output is low if they are motivated after the completion of the task/job.
