Development of Early Child Development Center


INITIATION:

Project Manager: Afzaal Ahmed Project Administrator: Khurram Riaz, Project Management Office

This project is related to the development of early child development center for those children who are in the age of 4 to 6 years. Basically its community development project to provide the childrens a supportive learning environment to study and build their skills. This project will start initially from Munara dist.chakwal and would be further continued other areas of Pakistan in future after the response of this project. This project will start on (31 October 2011) and it
SYNOPSIS:

will end in 9 weeks (9 December 2011). Its a funded project we will target 45 students initially. In morning this center will work for children and in evening it will work for adults training (Community Education).After the project closure School Management Committees (SMCs) and advisory councils will run the operations of the ECD Center. Its not-for-profit center whose recurring costs, especially teacher salary and utilities are met by tuition fees charged from affording pupils.

The basic purpose of this project is to help Pakistan achieve its targets of
PURPOSE/ BUSINESS NEED:

Education For All and the Millennium Development Goal for Education by 2015. To improve community participation for an effective delivery of quality education. Encourage people to send their childrens to school. Change their traditional perception and mobilize local community. It will also give benefits to the donors in terms of good will for their organization.

The scope of the project is to educate the local community of Munara by developing an early child development center with the help of donors in the time
SCOPE AND ACCEPTANCE:

period of nine weeks from (31 October 2011) to (9 December 2011). We want to give realization to the local people of Munara that education is basic need for their childs without education they cant succeed in life and also they cant contribute for the betterment of the society.Our aim is to provide supportive learning environment to the childs so that they develop skills like Social/Emotional Development, Creative Arts, Health, Safety & Physical Education etc. and contributes towards the development of Pakistan. Through this project we can create more value to the society and in a result better and educated society will develop.

Standard development process utilized in the ECD Center project: i. Research and realize the basic need of the people of Munara. Collect user requirements and document it. ii.
APPROACH:

Research team will make the report on it to cover the requirements of the community.

Meeting with sponsors/donors and take them into confidence about the project.

Project Management processes according to the standards and methodology set forth in the Project Management Institutes' Body of Knowledge will be used to manage the deployment of the ECD Center project. The Project Management Plan (PMP) will include the following elements:

The project management plan is a living document that will be updated by the Project Manager and Project Management Administrator as required. The plan will be executed and overall project performance evaluated on a regular basis to provide confidence that quality standards are being met. The project team will be developed to maximize skills and competencies to enhance project performance. Information will be disseminated to project stakeholders on a schedule outlined in the Communications Plan.

There will be complete connect with all the stakeholder of the project at each level. Initially there will be weekly meetings between project team members Project manager will be the communication focal point. A detailed project report will be given to all stakeholders after the completion of the project. The program design provides a two-way system of communication that is open and easily accessible, and in which families and community representatives are valued as resources and decision-makers.

Any change in the project will be documented and assessed by the project

manager after consultation with the stakeholders. If change is approved then the scope, budget etc will be updated according to that and will be shared with the stakeholders through communication plan. The PM/project team will

communicate the approved change and updated schedule to the staff responsible for implementing the change.
