TOYOTA Dream Car Art Contest Entry Terms and Conditions

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
No product purchase or participation/entry fee is necessary. Entries must be the original artwork of a child applicant (hereafter referred to as Applicant) in accordance with the following conditions: (a) the age of the Applicant must fall within the category indicated on the entry form and (b) the Applicant must be a legal resident of Sri Lanka at the time of entry. Previously published artworks, artworks that have been entered in any other contest and artworks that infringe any third party rights may not be submitted. To be eligible, artworks must be related to the theme of the contest in which they are submitted. A winner and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian will be required to certify that the Applicants submission has not been published previously, has not been entered in any other contest and does not infringe any third party rights. An applicant may enter as many times as he or she wishes, however, each entry must be mailed in a separately to the provincial education office. Prizes will be limited to one per Applicant. Entries must be submitted on paper measuring 420 mm to 297 mm (A3 size). Entries must be hand-drawn, colored illustrations with a background and must not be created digitally. Any type of paper is permissible, and any artistic medium (any paint including water paint, color markers, crayons, etc.) may be used to create an entry. Each submission must be accompanied by an entry form containing the necessary information. Entry forms can be downloaded from www. toyota.lk or are available Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd or from school. The questionnaire that must be submitted with an entry form can also be obtained at the same time. The required information to be filled in the entry form is outlined below. The agreement clause (11) must include the signature of the Applicant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian. 1. Age category 2. Title of the artwork 3. Concept of Dream Car the Applicant drew 4. If only one of the parents is able to exercise parental rights, the signature of one parent will be accepted. In the case that neither parent is able to sign, the legal guardian should sign. The Applicant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian (a) must be eligible to legally enter Japan, (b) should expect to be able to and be willing to travel to Japan according to the schedule specified by Toyota Motor Corporation (hereafter referred to TMC), and (c) must acknowledge that TMC assumes no responsibility for or otherwise guarantees issuance of a visa to travel to Japan. By submitting an entry, the Applicant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and accept and shall not object or take actions against the final decision by juries whom Toyota Lnaka (Pvt) Ltd and TMC arranged. Children of employees of TMC, Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and dealers are also eligible to participate. Entries must be received by January 31, 2012 by one of the methods of submission indicated below.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY HOW TO ENTER

Entries must be received by January 31, 2012 by one of the methods of submission indicated below. (1) By mailing the entry to the following Administration Ofce of Toyota Dream Car Art Contest Secretariat Ofce, Toyota Plaza, No.337, Negombo Road, Wattala. (2) All the entries can be directly presented to the provincial education office. (All entries presented to the provincial education office will be sent to the secretariat office at Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Only submissions that meet the above criteria will be eligible for judging in the National Contest beginning February 2012, and for the World Contest beginning April 2012. The top 5 places in each age category in the National Contest (in total 15 winners per National Contest) will be submitted to the World Contest that will take place in April 2012 in Japan. Entries in both the National Contest and the World Contest will be judged by juries and outside experts arranged by TMC and Toyota Lanka Private Limited from the viewpoint of originality and creativity principally. In the World Contest, award winners (gold award, silver award, bronze award) and nalists will be selected out of the entries submitted from the various participating countries, and out of the award winners, special award winner will be selected. However, there will be no relationship between the ranking of winning entries in the National Contest and the ranking of winning entries in the World Contest. All decisions of the juries are final.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS
Winners of the National Contest will be announced in February, 2012. Winners of the World Contest are scheduled to be announced in June, 2012. Competition results are scheduled to be announced on Toyota Lanka Private Limiteds website http://www.toyota.lk. Winners of the National Contest and the World Contest will be notified separately by Distributor in each country. TMC requires each winner and the winners parent(s) or legal guardian to sign a declaration of eligibility/availability and a liability/publicity release for the benefit of the winner. If the declaration is not signed, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the runner up The beneficiary of the prize shall be the winner himself/herself, and not the parent(s) or legal guardian. The involvement of a winners parent(s) or legal guardian in the contest, including, without limitation, the prize-winning process, does not constitute nor entitle the parent(s) or legal guardian to any rights or claim against Toyota Lanka Private Limited or TMC. In the event that notification of a prize or the prize itself is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the runner up. Prizes may not be transferred or sold to a third party unless otherwise agreed to by Toyota Lanka Private Limited or TMC. Prize winners are unable to claim the cash equivalent of the prize trip from Toyota Lanka Private Limited or TMC in the event they are unable to make the trip for any reason. An applicant will be disqualified and forfeit his/her prize in the event that he/she is found to be in breach of any of the entry rules. Toyota Lanka Private Limited or TMC are unable to accept any inquiries whatsoever concerning the results of the National Contest and the World Contest. The first through fifth place prizes in each category of the National Contest shall be as follows: 1. Regional Certificates and a cash award of Rs. 5000.00 will be given to all 135 selected candidates for the national contest. 2. Each gold, silver, bronze and special award winners in each category of the World Contest will win a trip to Japan for the winner and one parent or legal guardian. Included in the prize are round-trip economy class airline tickets to Japan and travel and accommodation expenses within Japan to be determined by TMC. Winners are responsible for all expenses incurred for traveling to and from the airport in their own countries, other domestic travel expenses, and all taxes imposed on the prize. The airline ticket dates cannot be altered. The trip is scheduled in August 2012. Winners will be notified of the schedule at a later date. TMC reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value in case that the advertised prizes become unavailable. As for finalists, prize will be sent.

CONDITIONS
Unless prohibited by law, Toyota Lanka Private Limited, TMC and their agents shall acquire the right to announce, use, adapt, edit or revise entries in any manner in any and all media and in any country or jurisdiction for commercial or non-commercial use without having to disclose the identity of the Applicant or to pay them any additional compensation. Submission of an entry further constitutes the consent of the Applicant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian to irrevocably assign and transfer to Toyota Lanka Private Limited or TMC all rights, title and interest in the entry, including, without limitation, all patent, design rights and copyright. Entries will not be returned. Neither Toyota Lanka Private Limited nor TMC assume any liability for entries that are lost, late or damaged during mailing, or for postagedue mail entries. Please note that winners who advance to the World Contest and their parent(s) or legal guardian must agree to the following conditions: (a) All disputes and differences arising in connection with the World Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tokyo, Japan; (b) They must submit to such exclusive jurisdiction with respect to any such disputes or differences; and (c) The laws of Japan shall exclusively apply to settle any controversy arising from the World Contest, notwithstanding any rules on conflict of laws.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information relating to Applicant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian will be collected and used by Toyota Lanka Private Limited or TMC solely for the purpose of administering the both contests. Such personal information may be provided to Toyota Lanka Private Limited and TMC advertising agencies, advisers, promotional agencies and marketing agencies, and may be used for data processing and administrative purposes associated with the both contests. Applicant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian will be expected to agree to the use of pictures and videos taken during their participation in the contests and events associated with the contests, by Toyota Lanka Private Limited and TMC on their websites, brochures and etc.
