Getting start
Main window
This is the main window of Atop CHM to PDF Converter! To start with Atop CHM to PDF Converter: 1. Add CHM file into the list: Clicking the button Add file(s) to add CHM file which you want to be converted into PDF. You can add more than one file and convert them using the batch conversion feature. Remove button is used to remove the selected file in the list; Remove all button is to remove all the files in the list; 2. Choose path where output PDF will be saved by clicking Browse button. Explore button is to open the destination folder. 3. You can use the advanced setting to customerize your PDF file by clicking PDF Setting button, click to see details about PDF setting; 4. Click Convert button is to start converting.

Advanced PDF setting
This is the window of Advacned PDF setting, it has three parts:
1. Page size setting

Set the page size of PDF file, orientation and margins. Click to see details at the page setting part.
2. Table of contents, bookmarks and cover

Set table of content, bookmarks (similar as content tree in CHM file), as well as cover. You can set PDF cover from html file and text.
3. Header and footer

Set PDF header and footer in many different styles.
4. PDF Properites
See PDF Porperties setting. 5. Load initial settings button is used to reset all the settings back to the default settings.

How to add header & footer
PDF header and footer
This is the window of Advacned PDF header setting. 1. By choosing the Add page header feature, you can customerize the PDF header, here:
Title of CHM means the tile text in the main window (see picture below). When Title of CHM appears on the left, it
means the title text will be showed on the left corner of PDF header.
Chapter Name means current chapter name, e.g, if chapter two is about "technical support", then Chapter Name

will show the text "technical support"; When Chapter Name appears on the right, it means the title text will be showed on the right corner of PDF header.
Page numbe is number of the page; Page No./Total pages means current page number and total page number, e.g, current page is 3, the pdf file has totally 16 pages, then Page No./Total pages will show "3/16";
When Title of CHM,Chapter Name, Page No. or Page No./Total pages appears on the center, it means the related text will be showed on the center of PDF header. Same with left and right position;
This is the window of Advacned PDF footer setting:
The feature is similar as the above introduced header setting, you can also draw a line to footer.

How to customize heder and footer
How to add your own content into pdf header and footer
Wiht Atop CHM to PDF Converter 1.0, you can choose Title of CHM, Chapter Name, Page No. and Page No./Total Pages for your header and footer. And now, the new version 1.1 supports to add your own content into pdf header and footer, you can add any text or words into pdf header and footer, left, center or right positon.
Just follow up to see the details:

1. Click PDF Setting button on main window.
2. Click to Add additional contents to header and footer button.

4. Click Save button to save PDF Setting. You can view your own information in header and footer information afterward. see below as sample.

How to change page size, orientation or margin
This is the window of Advacned PDF page setting, it has three parts:
1. Page size setting

Set the page size of PDF file, you can choose the common used page size from the drop-down menu.
2.Page orientation
Set the page orientation to be portrait or landecape;
3.Page margins
Set page top margin, bottom margin, left and right margin.

How to add table of contents to PDF file
This is the window of Adding table of contents to PDF file . You can add table of contents to your pdf file by: Selecting add table of contents , fill in title of the table of contents, or choose the title to be Table of contents . Or change it to %Title of CHM%. %Title of CHM% means the title of CHM file you set in first page. See picture below.
If you choose %Title of CHM% to be the title of table of contents, the title words will be showed in the pdf table contents.

How to add cover to PDF file
This is the window of adding cover to PDF file, you can apply cover from html file or text:
1. Add cover page from html file ;

You can apply a html file as the cover of PDF file, just choose add cover from html file, and click open button, select a html file,that is it, the html file will be added as the cover of PDF file.
2. Add cover for text words;

You can apply text word as the cover of PDF file, just choose add cover from text, and click Select button, select the %title of CHM%,that is it, the title of CHM file will be added as the cover of PDF file.
Please note: %title of CHM% is the text word you set in the first page, see below. You can change the title in right-clicking
menu.

How to add your copyright information
How to add your pdf copyright information?

To avoid unauthorised use of your pdf file, you may add your copyright information to pdf file, such as title and author etc. which can be reivewed as pdf author or copyright information afterward.
See below in details:

1. Click PDF Setting button on main windows.
2. When you use %Title of CHM% as Titlte, the output pdf file will use original chm title as its title, this is very usefully for batch PDF converting especially. The output PDF copyright and properties information can be reviewed in PDF reader(Adobe Reader) as below:

Sometime, you may find out the font of PDF file is too small to be read in your moble device, what you need to do is to change the font size in Atop CHM to PDF Converter 1.2 when converting your CHM to PDF. See below in details about how to change font size when converting CHM to PDF:
1. Run Atop CHM to PDF Converter 1.2. 2. Click PDF Setting button on main windows, and click Copyright & Font size tab.
