The #OccupyPortland Interfaith Guild of Chaplains Planning meeting, Thursday, December 8, 2011 3-4:30 p.m.

Announcements and summaries of G.A. and Spokes actions The park-u-pation/daytime occupation is implemented until further notice Scheduled events and actions Possible further changes in G.A. and Spokes schedules; this is constantly evolving. No further news on St. Francis building. Ongoing items: 2. Report-back/follow-up on Occupy Giving Did not get anywhere on this with the action and food committees, and there is also another event on Saturday afternoon scheduled. Thus this plan has been aborted. 3. Follow-up on the Winter Solstice Peace-in Thursday, Dec. 22, 6:30-7 p.m. Director Park, SW Taylor St & SW Park Ave, Portland, 97205 (between the Chabad menorah lighting and the GA open forum) This will be a short-and-sweet event (attention span!) with a short presentation, fire lighting and music (song/guitar). Alethea is putting together the program. Request: hot apple cider and other warm beverages in a large container (We thought of the Metanoia Peace House with a large kitchen and Cambro containers -can Shannon arrange this, and some of us can get up there -- NE Tillamook & 18th -earlier that day for prep.), some easy-to-serve food items that can be made in large volume cheaply would be a plus. (There will be a GA right after this, so there may be a good turn out.) New actions: 4. City Hall prayer vigil -- need people -- 24/7 until camping ban is lifted by the city council Announcement to be re-posted in public (FB page and blog) 5. Spokes Council participation -- selection of official IGC reps (preferably 3) and rotation schedule (S.C. meets on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays) Sunday: Aurora Tuesday: Friday: 6. Occupy Christmas Dec. 25 - an indoor 24-hr. occupation/retreat, built on the success of Occupy Thanksgiving * Was not discussed in this meeting -- Sarah will post details on this for feedback, input and possible action online.

Spokes Council Faith & Spirit request: assistance with outreach/connecting with local faith communities 9. "Occupy Churches": bringing a mini-occupation on tour to churches to inspire dialogues and education Sarah will make and distribute a summary of project concepts
