Biblical Condition of Sinners and Believers

How does God save man? How does the Father draw us to His Son? How does He reach us through His Word of truth, the Gospel. The gospel is crucifixion, death and resurrection of Christ: Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. 1 Cor 15:1-4,11. How does this gospel affect its listeners? Did God put the Word in the hearts and lips of men? Believers are saved after repentance and faith in Christ through the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit. What happen to them after faith in Christ? And what brought that faith? When does the person experience new birth or regeneration? When can we say the believer is secured in his salvation? What will happen when he turns back from God? What is type of sin does the bible say that one is considered condemned?

SINNERS 1. What is the Condition of Sinners? Sinners are dead spiritually and do not know God: And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
EPH 2:2 GAL 4:8 EPH 2:1

However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods. How Sinners can be reached by God? God reaches them through the Gospel and the Holy Spirit so faith can come out from them through the Word and the Spirit.
RO 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. RO 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH. 2

2TH 2:13

But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. 2TH 2:14 It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
AC 15:7

After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe.
AC 15:8

And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us; AC 15:9 and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith. God has put the Word in mens hearts and in their lips so when they hear the good news they can believe.

DT 30:14

But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it. DT 30:15 See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity;
RO 10:6

But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, `WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN? (that is, to bring Christ down), RO 10:7 or WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS? (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). RO 10:8 But what does it say? THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heartthat is, the word of faith which we are preaching, RO 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; RO 10:10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. RO 10:11 For the Scripture says, WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. RO 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; RO 10:13 for WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED. RO 10:14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? RO 10:15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS! 3

RO 10:16

However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? RO 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Therefore, those who shall believe shall be saved and have eternal life while those who shall disbelieve shall be condemned and the wrath of God remains in them because they have not believed the testimony of God about His Son.

JN 3:18

He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
JN 3:36

He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
MK 16:15

And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. MK 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. BELIEVERS 1. What happen should they repent and put their faith in the Son of God through the Gospel they hear? Not necessarily in order but they all happen after faith in Christ: Soul is saved.
2CO 6:2

for He says, AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU. Behold, now is THE ACCEPTABLE TIME, behold, now is THE DAY OF SALVATION
1PE 1:9

obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

Sealed with the HS.

EPH 1:13

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvationhaving also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 4

Experience New Birth, Regeneration or Born Again.

JN 1:12

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, JN 1:13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
1PE 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1PE 1:23

for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
1JN 5:1

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
TIT 3:5

He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Christ dwells in them.
GAL 3:26

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

GAL 4:6

Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba! Father! Now possess eternal life, the life of God who is Christ.
JN 5:24

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
1JN 1:1

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life 1JN 1:2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us
1JN 5:11

And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 1JN 5:12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. 5

This Is Written That You May Know

1JN 5:13

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. Believers are added to the Body of Christ through the Gospel.
EPH 3:6

to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,
AC 2:47

praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved. Faith has a very important role for our salvation. God accepts our faith in Christ and we are justified and made righteous through faith. Because Christ has died for our sins therefore should we have faith in what He has done we are accepted by God.
1 CO 15:11

Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

RO 10:17

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

RO 10:4

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

RO 1:17

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.
RO 3:22

even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; RO 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
RO 3:25

whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; RO 3:26 for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
RO 5:1

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2. What is the condition of the believers in Christ? Those who walk in the Light are cleansed from all sins by the blood of Jesus. 6

1JN 1:6

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 1JN 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. Those who hear His voice and follow Him have eternal life and shall not perish.
JN 10:27 JN 10:28

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. Those who abide and remain in Christ are assured of eternal security.
2TI 2:19

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, The Lord knows those who are His, and, Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.
JN 15:1 JN 15:2

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. JN 15:3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. JN 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. JN 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. JN 15:6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. JN 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. JN 15:8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. When they die they go to heaven.
2CO 5:6

Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord 2CO 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight 2CO 5:8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
Phil 1:21 Phil 1:22

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. Phil 1:23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;

REV 19:1

After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God; REV 19:2 BECAUSE HIS JUDGMENTS ARE TRUE AND RIGHTEOUS; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting the earth with her immorality, and HE HAS AVENGED THE BLOOD OF HIS BOND-SERVANTS ON HER. BUT THERE ARE THOSE WHO TURN BACK.
HEB 6:4

For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, HEB 6:5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, HEB 6:6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. HEB 6:7 For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God; HEB 6:8 but if it yields thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being burned.

HEB 10:37

FOR YET IN A VERY LITTLE WHILE, HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME, AND WILL NOT DELAY. HEB 10:38 BUT MY RIGHTEOUS ONE SHALL LIVE BY FAITH; AND IF HE SHRINKS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM. There are 2 types of sins that the believer can commit. There is a sin that is forgiven. While walking in the light sometimes we fail but we do not continue to sin. This sin is forgiven upon confession. Those who walk in the light though they fail but confess them never loose their salvation.
1JN 1:6

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 1JN 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1JN 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1JN 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1JN 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. There are those who turn back from God.

The other sin is sin unto death. This Sin is not forgiven. This is continuing in sin. Unrepentant. This is turning back from God and can not repent anymore. It starts from an evil unbelieving heart turning away from the Lord.
HEB 3:12

Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. HEB 3:13 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called Today, so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. HEB 3:14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end, Should he not repent and confess it there will be a danger of continuing to sin.
HEB 10:26

For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, HEB 10:27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. It leads into sin unto death.
1JN 5:16

If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this. 1JN 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death. Believers are set free by the Spirit of God but should they live in the flesh they shall die.
RO 8:1 RO 8:2

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
RO 8:12

So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh RO 8:13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
GAL 6:7

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. GAL 6:8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. GAL 6:9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. 9

Jesus commanded that they should repent and overcome otherwise judgment and death.
LK 13:3

I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

REV 2:5

Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its placeunless you repent.
REV 2:11

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death. God will judge His people.
2TI 2:11

It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; 2TI 2:12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us;
HEB 10:26

For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, HEB 10:27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. HEB 10:28 Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. HEB 10:29 How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? HEB 10:30 For we know Him who said, VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY. And again, THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE. HEB 10:31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Destruction to those who shrink back and preservation for those who do not.
HEB 10:36

For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. HEB 10:37 FOR YET IN A VERY LITTLE WHILE, HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME, AND WILL NOT DELAY. HEB 10:38 BUT MY RIGHTEOUS ONE SHALL LIVE BY FAITH; AND IF HE SHRINKS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM. HEB 10:39 But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. Why? After the believer in the beginning was forgiven, 10

saved and washed should he turn back judgment shall fall upon him.
HEB 10:26

For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, HEB 10:28 Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. HEB 10:29 How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
2PE 1:8

For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2PE 1:9 For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. 2PE 1:10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; 2PE 1:11 for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you. The question is. Are we saved by good works? NEVER. Faith in Greek is pistis/pisteo meaning belief and obedience. We can not separate obedience from faith. For we can not have faith without obedience to His words. We obey too by faith because He has saved us from dead works. It is faith working in us. For you have been forgiven and saved. Obedience is a commandment from God to His children. God is pleased thereof.

God loves obedient children who refrain from wickedness.

HEB 5:8

Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. HEB 5:9 And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,
2TI 2:19

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, The Lord knows those who are His, and, Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.
MT 7:21

Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

11

MT 7:22

Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? MT 7:23 And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.

THEREFORE, what is our conclusion? To God be the glory. To the Son be all the honor and praise. Man is incapable of saving himself. But God through His unfathomable mercy and grace has provided the Gospel Message and the power of the Holy Spirit to bring forth faith that comes through the hearing of the Word. Whosoever will respond to the word by repentance and faith which were brought about by the power of the gospel for all men they are saved and given eternal life. Through faith in Christ we were justified and made righteous by God. There is eternal security for those who walk in the light. He is cleansed by the blood of Jesus. They unite with the Lord at death in heaven. Those who turn their backs in the Lord have committed sin unto death and they shall be judged. Christ alone is sufficient for the payment of our sins.
HEB 10:11

Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; HEB 10:12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD

ELECTION AND PREDESTINATION: Finally, God based His election and predestination according to His foreknowledge. He knows those who shall reject and accept His Son. Those who shall believe after the gospel is heard was ordained to eternal life.
RO 8:29

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; RO 8:30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.
MK 13:20

Unless the Lord had shortened those days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days.
12

He desires all men to be saved.

1TI 2:3 1TI 2:4

This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1TI 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1TI 2:6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. He calls through the gospel.
AC 15:7

After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe. AC 15:8 And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us; AC 15:9 and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith. Those who shall reject were not chosen.
JN 13:18

I do not speak of all of you. I know the ones I have chosen; but it is that the Scripture may be fulfilled, HE WHO EATS MY BREAD HAS LIFTED UP HIS HEEL AGAINST ME.
JN 6:70

Jesus answered them, Did I Myself not choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil? JN 6:71 Now He meant Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray Him.
AC 13:46

Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. Those who fear Him is welcomed by God.
AC 10:34

Opening his mouth, Peter said: I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, AC 10:35 but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.
AC 10:1

Now there was a man at Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian cohort, AC 10:2 a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, and gave many alms to the Jewish people and prayed to God continually.
AC 16:14

A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul. 13

AC 13:48

When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

He knew from the beginning those who will believe Him and the Father grants them to come to the Son.
Ro 8:29

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;
JN 6:64

But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. JN 6:65 And He was saying, For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.
