I am voting for Barack Obama.

I will be
relieved when he is elected President, and
most of the Republican fat cats are replaced by
Democratic fat cats. I will be relieved because
when this happens the pressure will be on
them to do the right thing, and hopefully the
Democrats will respect the people whom they
are supposed to represent, and will do a better
job than the greedy self-serving Republicans
who have whored us out for their own private
interests.
McCain and Palin are beyond contempt, and
they have run a crappy campaign based on
fear and hate…just like Hillary Clinton’s
campaign.
I will not pretend to believe that Barack has
all of the answers, but at least he seems
respectful and he at least addresses some of
the issues that I feel are important to this
nation.
As far as SNL’s decision to invite Sarah Palin
on the show, I am thoroughly disgusted, and I
am disgusted in Palin for accepting the offer. Of
course, due to the controversy, SNL had a
record number of viewers, but the original
Saturday Night Live was an intelligent,
innovative show that represented liberalism as
opposed to conservatism. The old Saturday
Night Live did not cater to hicks, racists, and
right-wing-warmongering-head cases.
Many people are afraid of Socialism, and they
accuse the Democrats of trying to impose a
Socialist order that would rewrite our
Constitution, while other’s believe that the
Democrats and Republicans have plotted
together to create a Socialist government that
would pave the way for a new world order. This
raises the question: Where were all of these
people when the government was lying to us
about what happened on 9/11/2001?
Where were all of these people when the
government lied to us about Katrina?
Where were all of these people when three
men in Ohio were prosecuted for voter fraud?
Where were all of these people when Valerie
Plame was outed?
Why aren’t these same people talking about
Enron and Halliburton?
It seems to me that many of these people
have selective memories and short attention
spans.

Did Obama communicate with Ayers…who is

a known terrorist?
Answer: Yes, he did, and Ayers was vetted by
Reagan’s administration, and since Reagan
represented Republicans then the Republicans
must be supporting terrorists while vying for
Democratic support.
According to GWB we will not tolerate
terrorists or people who harbor terrorists…This
came from a man who has done business with
the Bin Laden family, as well as George Soros,
and whose father was entertaining the Bin
Ladens during the 911 attacks…only to whisk
them away before they could be properly
interrogated.
Are the Republican and Democratic parties
complicit in their corruption of our nation and
it’s Constitutional rights?
Answer: Damn straight!

Some Democrats have worked to undermine

our Constitutional rights, as well as
Republicans, but in most instances, certain
members of the Democratic Party spoke
against this while the Republicans have
followed in lock step on almost every issue.
Democrats like Debbie-Wasserman-Schultz,
Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Joe Lieberman, Hillary
Clinton and Harry Reid, have worked hard to
appease the Republicans by trashing our
rights…and while this is true, I cannot think of
one good Republican who would protect our
rights.

The right to own guns…

I have heard the rhetoric for and against gun
ownership and while the issue may be
controversial or otherwise complicated there
are many liberals and conservatives who are
not going to give up their right to own
weapons.
I have purchased guns out of necessity simply
because law enforcement could not protect my
loved ones or me. Since I planned to use these
guns, I purchased them off the market and rid
myself of them later. Had the inept law
enforcement and legal system performed the
task for which they were paid I would not have
resorted to such drastic measures (for the
record I have never killed anyone with my
guns). The assailant was a trained military man
who was stalking my friends and me, he was
armed and he brought friends. They were
reported and nothing was done so I sent him
and his family a message. The stalking stopped
immediately after the event.
I do not like to own guns or to be around
them, though I have fired a few. I prefer to
resolve issues with words, and when that does
not work I have been known to brawl, but I do
appreciate that some problems can only be
handled with guns and I reserve my right to
protect myself by any means necessary. I
realize that there are some people who should
never own guns, and I do not think that the
“right to bear arms” gives us the right to own
nuclear weapons, biological weapons, or
surface-to-air missiles.
I urge all citizens to hang on to their guns
despite what the government may mandate.

Homosexuality, Illegal Aliens, Abortion Rights,

and Gun Rights…

…these are known as “Hot-Button-Issues”

because they are usually presented to evoke
an emotional response from voters.

According to the Constitution, the government

is to pay no respect to religion. Since some
religious groups do not condone
homosexuality, they reserve the right to deny
gay-marriage, as that right is protected by the
Constitution. Religious denominations that do
not condone homosexuality cannot legally
influence the government to deny homosexuals
from getting married in a religious system that
allows or embraces homosexuality. Since
religious chapters are not a democracy and the
government does not persecute them; they
have the prerogative to allow or deny
homosexual marriage at their discretion.
Homosexuals are not entitled to get married at
a church that deems homosexuality a sin; so in
the end the real issue is one of semantics, and
what the government honors to be a legal
marriage or union. After the semantics are
worked out then we can start discussing the
economic benefits or detriments of gay-
marriage and if it has any effect at all on
society as a whole.

The Republicans have consistently been

guilty of giving amnesty to large groups of
illegal aliens, as have the Democrats. The
hiring and harboring of illegal aliens is not a
partisan issue or a racial issue, but an
economic one. Neither party has effectively
dealt with this issue, but both parties have
allowed the problem to escalate as it helps to
drive down the wages of American citizens,
which translates, into more money for big
corporations and their lobbyists. One argument
for allowing illegal aliens to work in our nation
is that it has been said that they pay into our
Social Security system without collecting from
it. I have researched the issue and I have seen
no evidence that illegal aliens pay into our
Social Security system, and if they are then the
money is not being properly accounted for. In
either case, someone is making money of the
situation and they are not paying taxes on it,
and when nationals of another nation shut
down our streets and threaten the well-being of
our citizens while waving a foreign flag this is
what is known as AN INVASION and our military
has an obligation to react.

Abortion rights are largely a non-issue. As

U.S. citizens, women have the right to protect
their own bodies, and the government does not
have the right to invade or endanger the body
of a citizen unless they are guilty of a crime
against another citizen or they are a threat to
the state. Technically, the fetus is not a citizen
until it has been born. If the fetus is aborted at
an early stage before the brain is developed
then it is not technically a human being, and
the mother’s rights trump that of the fetus. If
the mother intentionally abuses the fetus at a
later stage then it can be argued that the
mother is performing an act of cruelty…, which
is sketchy. If the mother is in danger of losing
her life for that of the fetus then her rights
trump that of the fetuses because it comes
from HER body, which is protected by law.
People who argue for or against abortion tend
to state their case by using opposite extremes,
and there are many varied conditions and
reasons that may aid either side of the
argument. The bottom-line is that our legal
system has an obligation to protect the rights
of our citizens over the rights of embryos.
Getting back to gun rights, some of the
reasons why the founding fathers included the
right to bear arms was so that we could defend
ourselves from an illegal governing system,
foreign invaders, and abuses by local
governing systems. Back then, the military was
made up of volunteers who had other
occupations and were called upon only in a
time of war. As our Nation and other nations
grew it was realized that we had a need for a
larger fully functioning army even in a time of
peace. The National Guard was then set-up to
protect local communities, therefore negating
the need for civilians to “bear arms”. One thing
that our government has consistently proven is
that we cannot trust them to do what is in the
best interests of our nation and our citizens,
and that proof only affirms the need for our
civilians to bear arms.

As citizens, we must use our experience and

our intellect in the voting process. We must
vote not only for our own interests but also for
the well-being of all citizens. We must take into
consideration the sources of our information,
and cross-reference everything. We must listen
to the Conservatives and The Liberals, and
familiarize ourselves with their issues and their
talking points. We must honor the sovereignty
of all nations while protecting our own
sovereignty. We must demand accountability
while pushing for positive change. We must see
racism, misrepresentation, and class-warfare
for what it is. We must realize that it takes the
work of many to bring change, and it is not
going to happen overnight. We must look at all
of the issues and how they affect us and the
people around us, and vote accordingly.
