Stage 3: Plan Learning Experiences

1. Pre-Evaluation Survey 2. What is Web 2.0 and how will it help me in the classroom? 3. Introduction of Web 2.0 tools will be done using PowerPoint so teachers can see the difference between a regular PowerPoint presentation and other Web 2.0 tools. 4. Evaluation Reflection: I was very pleased after teaching my Staff Development Unit. I really didnt know how the audience would take having a fellow teacher giving them advice on how to improve their classroom. They were very receptive and had a lot of different questions along the way. It allowed me to showcase the knowledge I have received going through the Instructional Technology Program here at Georgia Southern. Going into the seminar, many of the teachers had not heard much about Web 2.0 technology and most of them were not comfortable using it inside of the classroom. After we finished, all of them answered that they would be implementing this new technology inside of their classroom.

Based off of the feedback, there are a few things I would change. First, I would either make the workshop longer or offer it in a span of a couple days. The teachers were excited about the knowledge they obtained and were eager to use it. Also, I would focus less time discussing the PowerPoint and more focusing on specific example for each tool. Overall, this was a great experience and I feel like the teachers who attended picked up at least one thing they could use inside of their classroom.
