Introduction of the
brbraitt
BRBRAITT is one of the premier institutes of BSNL, imparting training in various fields like latest technologies in field of telecommunications, computer networking, accounting, management, providing competency and skills to meet the ever-changing needs of esteemed customers.
BRBRAITT Mission:
To Deliver Quality Training to the best of participants satisfaction. To Deliver Excellence Through Training.
Quality Policy: "The management, the faculty and the staff of BRBRAITT affirm their commitment to impart quality training to all its values customers and to ensure to optimally utilize the resources of the institute. For this, every faculty and individual of BRBRAITT will abide by the ISO 9001:2008 ' Quality Management System' standards and will demonstrate its compliance in all areas of activities."
Institute had its origin at Kolkata where it initially started functioning in the 1920 as Telecom Training Centre (TTC).
[2]
During the Second World War, it was however, decided to locate it at Jabalpur where it commenced activities from 22nd April 1942.
In the beginning the Training Centre was set up in the Telecom Factory compound at Wright Town, Jabalpur. Since this did not provide adequate space for conducting the training activities effectively, the TTC was shifted to a new building at Ridge Road, Jabalpur and the training activities started functioning in its new campus from 1956. Since then, BRBRAITT has made a continued effort to cater to the training needs of the Indian Telecommunication Department, other allied organizations and foreign participants. The Training Centre has a campus of 35 acres with administrative building of 11,792 square meters in area. It has also got 207 staff quarters and four hostels with a capacity to accommodate about 400 trainees.
The Training Centre was renamed as "Bharat Ratna Bhimrao Ambedkar Institute of Telecom Training "; on 30th May 1992.

Data One:
BSNL launched DataOne broadband service in January 2005 which shall be extended to 198 cities. ISDN:
ISDN, a powerful tool for provisioning of services like voice, data etc over the telephone lines.
Web Hosting:
[7]
Web hosting allows users to publish Web pages and information resources on the Internet.
MPLS-VPN:
BSNL harnesses MPLS Technology to offer world class IP VPN services to its customers.
Leased Line:
BSNL provides leased lines for voice and data communication for various applications.
Wi-Fi:
Wi-Fi Services provide high speed internet access at various convenient public locations.
Web Co-location helps to house a company's infrastructure along with control on equipments.
[8]
The technology used in the BSNL Broadband services is known as ADSL. ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is an asymmetrical technology, that allows more bandwidth downstream than upstream. (Normally download speed will be 6 times more than the upload speed)
WiMAX is a standards-based wireless technology that provides high-throughput broadband connections over long distances. WiMAX can be used for a number of applications, including "last mile" broadband connections, hotspot and cellular backhaul, and high-speed enterprise connectivity for businesses. An implementation of the IEEE 802.16 standard, WiMAX provides metropolitan area network connectivity at speeds of up to 75 Mb/sec. WiMAX systems can be used to transmit signal as far as 30 miles. However, on the average a WiMAX base-station installation will likely cover between three to five miles. Wimax is a 4th generation high speed wireless broadband access technology.
EVDO (also spelled EV-DO) stands for Evolution-Data Optimized. It is a telecommunications standard for transmitting digital data through radio signals and hence is used for wireless Internet access. It used CDMA and TDMA techniques for data transfer. EV-DO is considered as a part of 3G standard of mobile access. The maximum speed supported by an EVDO device/network is about 2.4mbps. EVDO devices offer backward compatibility and hence can access CDMA 1x network.

Training Information
I have completed my Vocational Training (V.T) of four weeks w.e.f 27-06-2011 to 22-07-2011, at BRBRAITT, Jabalpur (M.P).
BRBRAITT is one of the premier institutes of BSNL, imparting training in various fields like latest technologies in field of telecommunications, computer networking, accounting, management, providing competency and skills to meet the ever-changing needs of esteemed customers. From the first day itself my V.T started at full pace.
I was trained along with a number of students together as batch. I have done my V.T on Networking Concepts.
Every day there was a training schedule for duration of 3 hours i.e. from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm. In this time interval there were classes conducted also some days were kept for visits to the well equipped labs.
This duration were further divided to two parts with a short 15 minutes break in between. The classes on different topics of networking were conducted by many highly qualified lecturers of the BRBRAITT institute.
As the V.T was on Networking Concepts, each and every basic and new networking protocols were taught with all the necessary details along with their latest working technologies.
The institute has also well equipped labs which were often visited by us along with a BRBRAITT official in order to know about all the concepts in details.

Project Undertaken
During the duration of project report preparation period I had also prepared a project report on INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING PHP OVER IIS SERVER. The short summary about our project is that as many of us use PHP in windows platform and transfer the data / files to remote

server. The advantage of PHP is, it works equally well in Win platform also. There are different ways to install PHP in a windows platform. Here is one of the way which will give us an idea how the web IIS server get configured for running any scripts like PHP. The same technique can be used to run any other script. This for configuring IIS to execute a script based on different file extensions it receives.
interactive Web pages. PHP is the widely-used, free, and efficient alternative to competitors such as Microsoft's ASP. PHP stands for Hypertext Preprocessor.
servers (including a Web or Hypertext Transfer Protocol server and a File Transfer Protocol server). It also includes with additional capabilities for Microsoft's Windows NT and Windows 2000 Server operating systems. IIS is Microsoft's entry to compete in the Internet server market that is also addressed by Apache, Sun Microsystems, O'Reilly, and others. IIS 7.5 supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS, SMTP and NNTP.
The whole procedure to install and configure PHP on IIS server is given by the following steps: -
Step3 Set the PHP Application Mapping in IIS. Step4 Configure PHP.ini. Step5 Restart and Verify (testing).
