Woldas mission and objectives To promote excellence in visual communication; to provide real recognition to the people who invest their passion in this field; to act as a benchmark for the high quality of work being produced, to create a forum for the leaders in the field of visual communication, exploring its trends, absorbing and disseminating its future trajectories.

Eulda Books, the publishing house created specifically for this project, is a unique organization. Founded in Milan in 2005 by a team of industry professionals, its ambition with this project is to celebrate, inspire and promote creative design excellence throughout the world.

Wolda continues to evolve and improve, with a brand new judging process that again breaks new ground: every participant has a say in deciding the winning entries.

Wolda is the high-profile graphic design award scheme that rewards the best logos and trademarks designed throughout the world, creating an archive that tracks the evolution of tastes, styles and trends in global design, year after year. Woldas standing is guaranteed by the endorsement of the most important design associations and schools. Designers, agencies, studios and students from all over the world are invited to enter. With its 10 edition, Wolda continues to evolve and improve, with a brand new judging process that again breaks new ground: - Each participant has a say in deciding the winning entries.

The judging mechanism has changed, yet revolutionary in its concept. Selections will be defined by every participant designer with access to a dedicated voting area that has been carefully designed to prevent bias. By this, the online winning logos will truly represent the thinking of the worldwide logo design community, given that each participant should have a relevant experience on any logo design contest, being a logo designer himself.

- Subscription fee: only 21 per logo!

The core of excellence generated by this process will be collated in a showcase online for free, rewarding the best designers and the best clients, and creating an e-archive that tracks the evolution of tastes, styles and trends in global design, year after year. Due to this, Wolda will be online only; no more expensive printed annuals. This issues an entry fee offer at a very accessible rate, aiming to raise a great participation in order to really represent the excellence in logo design worldwide and not just a selection out of few.

More than 100 design associations and schools have already endorsed us. And the number keeps growing.

Woldas reputation is guaranteed by the endorsement of many of the most important design associations and schools: Wolda is the only award scheme in the world endorsed by more than 100 institutions! (see the full list of endorsers at www.wolda.org). All associations with designers amongst their members and design schools are invited to endorse Wolda. Each endorsing association/school is simply asked to email Woldas call-forentries to its members/students or to publicize Wolda through its own regular newsletter. At the end of the entry phase, a list of participants is sent to each association/school, allowing them to monitor the success of the project among their members/students.

Wolda as a promotional tool: our press office grants every year the best promotion possible in the design community.

Woldas press database contains hundreds of international and national media contacts (including online portals as well as magazines) all of which regularly receive our press releases. We have particularly close links with an exclusive group of international Media Partners, who feature Wolda in dedicated articles and/or advertising spaces. In addition, Wolda is highlighted in the newsletters of prestigious other design annuals such as LogoLounge, ReBrand, D&AD Global, ED-Awards, TDC, The One Show and ADC. All of which means even wider promotion of Wolda and its partners worldwide.

Thanks to its promotional strategy, involving over 100 endorsing associations and schools and a roll-out to the main international design publications, banners on the main international design portals and a massive programme of online mailings, Wolda (the Worldwide Logo Design Annual) is able to count on significant numbers and these numbers will grow in line with the global expansion of the competition. In addition, over 8,000 designers have explicitly signed up to our newsletter.

The Wolda prizes: design objects created ad hoc for both designers and clients.

The Overall winner: Best of the World for Wolda Professional and Wolda Talent is rewarded for free with prestigious design objects created specially for Wolda: two pieces of the Best of the World trophy and two pieces of the award certificate (one for the agency and one for the logos client). The rest of the winning entries can receive award trophies and certificates ONLY upon request and payment. Wolda awards are true symbols of creative achievement. Theyre not easy to come by, either. Earning a Wolda award is a true accomplishment. Even the simple certificates represent something worth hanging on the wall rather than just a sheet of paper to file away. Winners will also receive a listing on the winners online showcase on Woldas portal and discounts on other affiliated design annuals (see the prizes section on the website for the complete list).
