1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but its yours to keep for the entire period. 2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, life. 3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The failed experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately work. 4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson. 5. Learning lessons does not end. Theres no part of life that doesnt contain its lessons. If youre alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned. 6. There is no better a place than here. When your there has become a here, you will simply obtain another there that will again look better than here. 7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself. 8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours. 9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to lifes questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust. 10. You will forget all this.

Carissa Nadine Mendez said... number ten is so true. i read this a few months ago.. and just read it now and forgot until the end! upgradereality said... Wow, what a totally awesome post. So simple and yet so true. I especially like the first one, you get given a body and it's yours. Make them most of it, you can't change certain features, but you certainly can take care of your body and keep it health and in shape! Have a great day Diggy

Katie Lyon said... I agree that it is very profound and wise. I think it needs Kurt Vonnegut's byline though. Didn't he write these rules? Jay Andrade Hunt said... 7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself. I have never understood this one because this means u have a deep understanding of your own personality and soul, and i know that i have frickin no idea what my personality is. So what can i hate what i can not analyze. (though it could be subconscious) I think it more you hate something if it gos against your own personal morals. and your Morals are built on experience and personality. So in the end its right i guess, now thats confusing >.<. With morals i meen your own views of life and how people should interact with each other. And I agree quite right Dave Lewis said... linking to Abundance4Me led me to a blog by Pooja Ruprell which quoted: We need to cultivate a state of life where we can thoroughly enjoy ourselves at all times. We should have such joy that even at the time of death we can declare with a happy smile : That was wonderful! Where shall I go next Dr. Daisaku Ikeda jtcorthorn said... I feel im in the time of the life when you understand what 7 means.. for example, i sometimes hate other people flaws, but the thing is that these are visible to me because i sometimes feel and do the same. Things only start existing when they exist to you. Charmaine Lim said... Most people will agree with No.10 . Some may not forget all but half of them.

You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours." To leave a comment on this posterous, please login by clicking one of the following.
