The recent actions of the Algonquin negotiations table have just confirmed our gravest

concerns. The Canadian government is funding a program that encourages the creation of
“Communities of Convenience” to facilitate their agenda to minimize Algonquin
jurisdiction and rights. Recently the Ottawa community and their leader and ANR chose
to leave the table because of concerns regarding disrespect of community rights and
inappropriate governance activities at meetings. What has the table done? They have
ordered that a new ANR be elected through a by-election and if need be a new Ottawa
community to be created so that the process can plod along. So if you don’t agree with
their agenda or question their actions.....that is it.....you’re gone and a replacement will be
found. When the two communities all sharing the same historical record as
Pikwakanagan, namely Greater Golden Lake and the Bonnechere Algonquins, were asked
to submit their histories to the provincial negotiator they opted instead to just morph into
a new community with a very well established history........ours!!!! There are now
numerous attempts now become variants of the Kichi Sibi Anishnabe, without
recognizing the legitimate entity.......Isn’t that interesting? Please refer to my recent letter
available in our correspondence folder that actually predicts their doing this. The
Kichesipirini Algonquins, Kichi Sibi Anishnabe have been raising concerns about this
land claim negotiations process for years now......Fortunately we have initiated court
actions that will draw attention to our concerns and help establish legal clarity regarding
the issues. Despite our consistent attempts to find more amicable solutions within the
Algonquin community there has been a stubborn attachment by some to continue old
methods of maintaining control. The Kichesipirini continually assert that this important
negotiation process is an excellent opportunity for Canada to actually genuinely reconcile
their relationship with the Algonquin people of Canada in good faith....and actually bring
honour to the Crown. The world is watching! The Algonquin people can set a global
precedent!

In a recent ACTist Magazine article, available below, it states; “Finally, ‘Recognizing that
First Nations in Canada are nations that have not lost their sovereignty, and that the
colonizing of Canada was based on a partnership with First Nations peoples, the
Governments of Canada and Ontario should agree that any dispute with a First Nation
over a land claim or the assertion of an Aboriginal and/or treaty right can, should the First
Nation so request, be adjudicated by an international body or organization, such as the
International Court, the United Nations or the Organization of American States.”

The Kichesipirini Algonquin First Nation, Kichi Sibi Anishnabe are requesting that there
be third party adjunctor available to these negotiations. The Kichesipirini Algonquins,
Kichi Sibi Anishnabe request that it be the International Criminal Court so that
individuals can be held accountable and immediate investigation can be initiated while
negotiations can still proceed, implementing the necessary improvements. That way the
millions of dollars we are all spending on this circus will not all be in vain.
