For the consumers, its mission is to take care of their needs. 6. System operating constraints and conditions A shopping mall may be given only a limited area by higher land authorities. So, the number of shops in it may be restricted by this. Also, the usefulness of a mall depends on its location, and thus it can be constructed only at specific sites. Its opening and closing times may also be affected by its location. 7. System utility A mall provides financial gains to both its owners and the suppliers who sell in it. It provides economic ease to the users by catering to their needs in an amiable way as they get all thier goods under one roof. It also serves as a sociological place for youngsters. They also enhance the value of nearby areas.

These people along with the shopkeepers have to be trained to increase the utility of malls. 11.System protection A mall has guards and security checks to protect it from potential thefts. Also, the mall's building should be constructed according to earthquake resistant design. Internally, the shopping stores have to ensure that the products being sold are pure and reliable. 12. System phases, modes, and states of operation In the initial stages, when the mall is newly built, only a few general purpose shops are present. Over the period of time, as the mall develops, new facilities are added. These phases are non-recurring as they proceed in a single direction towards maturity. 13.Operating norms, standards, and conventions Every mall has certain rules such as which shops would be opened, what type of materials would be sold, its timings, security measures, etc. Malls operate under these norms. 14.System interfaces Malls basically interact with the users through their shops. They give banners in news papers, device new discount schemes and offers, etc. to attract customers. Within itself, the different components may interact with one another internally. 15.System availability Malls can serve users for about 12 hours on weekdays. They can supply

emergency items as well along with other regular stuff. They are also reliable and maintainable if taken proper care of. 16.System aesthetics Malls are decorated to attract customers. A mall's design and decorations play a great role in increasing the number of visitors. On festive seasons, the malls look even better keeping in view the large number of people who would be coming there. This is done to aesthetically please the customers. 17.System environmental, safety, and health Malls as such do not posses any serious threat to our environment. But the products being sold, however, may add to environmental pollution. Also, building malls requires land which may not be acceptable to the local public as this land may be acquired by cutting trees or destroying some historical site.

Non-functional attributes1. Extensibility The basic purpose of shopping malls is to sell products to the customers to satisfy their needs. But malls also have cafes, food stalls, book stores and gaming zones to target a wider range of public. They also organise quizzes and rock nights sometimes. In this way, they extend their services to the users. This leads to more publicity of the mall as well as higher profits. 2. Regulatory compliance This describes the goal that corporations or public agencies aspire to in their efforts to ensure that personnel are aware of and take steps to comply with relevant laws and regulations. For example, all the workers in a mall wear the same uniform. Also, mcdonals, dominoes, etc. have different uniforms for their employees. Also, the products that are sold in shops are bought from trusted suppliers and mostly are certified. Guards are trained how to check visitors. Regulatory compliance makes system more reliable, secure and user friendly. 3. Maintainability Maintainability is the ease with which a product can be maintained in order to correct defects, meet new requirements, make future maintenance easier and cope with a changed environment. New stores can be opened in order to meet new user requirements. Every component takes care of its own functioning and errors in it. If the locality in which the mall is situated is changed, it can provide new schemes to attract the new public. Maintainability is important for the system in the long run so that it works properly over its entire life cycle.
