Description of the Learner: The learner is a 21-year old male. The patient had experienced fever, and chills, accompanied by vomiting, 1 week prior to admission. Due to deficiency of knowledge regarding the management of such condition, the father of the patient gave him medications such as guaifenesin and paracetamol. No other interventions were provided except for the medications and other traditional healing. The patient was given a diagnosis of t/c typhoid ileitis, anemia secondary. Due to these cues, there is a need for the patient, as well as the family to learn how to manage these conditions independently. The learner must pay attention to questions that will be asked and listen well to instructions that will be given. He should be mentally, emotionally, and physically prepared for the course.
