Need for Industry Training and Demonstration Center (TDC) for Decommissioning Technologies It is necessary to create conditions for: Consolidation and transfer of practical experience, knowledge and information on using the latest technologies Creation of the unified equipment and standard design approaches Development, technologies testing and implementation of innovation
These conditions can be ensured by creating the training and demonstration center for decommissioning of nuclear fuel cycle facilities (TDC).

Experience
Over the past few decades VNIINM has been actively involved in development of the technologies meant for decontamination of equipment, building structure surfaces and spaces of various nuclear-industry facilities. The accumulated scientific and technical potential is now used for decontamination of VNIINMs own premises. Our key approaches to choosing the most promising decontamination technologies are as follows: - personnel safety - minimization of radwaste resulting from decontamination processes - reliance on our own developments

The foam decontamination technology is one of the effective methods for the low-waste decontamination of radiationcontaminated equipment and production areas. The equipment of this system makes it possible to use various conditions for foam application and destruction, and ensures efficient collection of products resulting from the decontamination process.
