Do not equate patriotism with your Christianity. The two are different.

Patriotism is love for and devotion to a country. It is recognizing that our freedoms, rights and privileges have been gained by the toil, sweat, lives, and work of our ancestors. It is recognizing that those who currently serve our nation to protect her are the true heroes of this world. I think that Patriotism is also the desire to see what has begun continue and that it continues in the manner it was intended from the beginning of our nation. I consider myself a patriot, a person still proud to be called an American! Christianity transcends nationality. To be a Christian is to be a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. As a Christian we are aliens in this world. Our home is in heaven. We can and should be loyal to the land in which we live now, but understand we are only passing through. Christianity shows through in the way we approach our patriotism. As a Christian Patriot, I will pray for those in authority over me, whether I agree with them or not. I will speak more about Jesus than about Politics but I will let my convictions be known through my vote. I will stand for Jesus regardless of the way of the nation or the world. I am FIRST and FOREMOSTLY CHRISTS! Paul Memory verse 7-3-11 John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

BUZZARD AT A CHURCH ICE CREAM SOCIAL This seems like a strange combination, doesnt it? This is what one of the gracious singers said about herself and her involvement in the combined choirs for our Patriotic Celebration last Sunday evening. In spite of feeling out of place like that buzzard, she expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of the choir and the celebration. Many others shared their joy and appreciation for the wonderful program. Thanks to each musician, singer, reader and A/V tech who worked so hard making our third annual event a rousing success. We are blessed to be part of a great nation and worship an awesome God!
