Human species 'may split in two'

Experts have predicted that humanity may split into two sub-species in 1, years'
time.
;olutionary theorist Oli;er Curry of the London School of conomics expects a
genetic upper class and a dim-witted underclass to emerge.
He said the human race would peak in the year 3000, - before a decline due to
dependence on technology.
People would become choosier about their sexual partners, causing humanity to
di;ide into sub-species.
The descendants of the genetic upper class would be tall, slim, healthy, attracti;e,
intelligent, and creati;e and a far cry from the "underclass" humans who would
ha;e e;ol;ed into dim-witted, ugly, squat goblin-like creatures.
#ace 'ironed out'
he predicts in the nearer future, humans will e;ol;e in 1,000 years into giants
between 6ft and 7ft tall, while life-spans will ha;e extended to 120 years.
Physical appearance, dri;en by indicators of health, youth and fertility, will impro;e, while men will exhibit symmetrical
facial features, look athletic, and ha;e squarer jaws, deeper ;oices and bigger penises.
Women, on the other hand, will de;elop lighter, smooth, hairless skin, large clear eyes, pert breasts, glossy hair, and
e;en features. Racial differences will be ironed out by interbreeding, producing a uniform race of coffee-coloured
people.
Howe;er, Dr Curry warns, in 10,000 years time humans may ha;e paid a genetic price for relying on technology.
Spoiled by gadgets designed to meet their e;ery need, they could come to resemble domesticated animals.
Receding chins
Social skills, such as communicating and interacting with others, could be lost, along with emotions such as love,
sympathy, trust and respect People would become less able to care Ior others, or perIorm in teams
Physically, they would start to appear more juvenile Chins would recede, as a result oI having to chew less on processed Iood
There could also be health problems caused by reliance on medicine, resulting in weak immune systems Preventing deaths
would also help to preserve the genetic deIects that cause cancer
2 urther into the Iuture, sexual selection - being choosy about one's partner - was likely to create more and more genetic
inequality, said Dr Curry
3 hile science and technology have the potential to create an ideal habitat Ior humanity over the next millennium,
there is a possibility oI a monumental genetic hangover over the subsequent millennia due to an over-reliance on technology
reducing our natural capacity to resist disease, or our evolved ability to get along with each other, said Dr Curry

Humanity may split into an elite and an underclass, says
Dr Curry

The definition of beauty is always changing. And so is our own perception of
beauty. During the era of the old Hindi Classics, beauty had a strong liaison with
the mind and the soul. I do not mean that the body had no role to play. But the
fanaticism over the body that we see these days was totally absent during the
Golden Era. Who knew what size zero was at that time? It really did not matter
how thin you looked.neither did that extra flesh on your waist bother a bit. All
that mattered was your portrayal of a classy and timeless image. Look at Zeenat
Aman. She was probably the first sensuous lady that Bollywood has ever seen.
And frankly speaking I don't think that any other Bollywood actors has managed
to replicate or even come close to her sensuality till date. She was far from
being size zero. In fact, this very concept of size zero did not exist even five
years back. Zeenat Aman or for that matter Rekha, did not need to have a size
zero figure to set the silver screen on fire. Of course I am not being biased
about any particular era. Every period comes with its own dominant features
and this is something that we cannot deny. Let us take the example of the
1950s. Beauty was then more about the poise and the expressions. In the
present times, beauty is burdened with every possible adjective... tall, slim, fair
and glamorous, the list goes on. Of these the word slim is the perhaps the most
debatable one. Today, it is not just about being slim, it is more about attaining
'size zero'. It is this word from where the plights of many of the growing
teenagers begin. Dieting, over straining exercises, getting stressed regarding
their weights and keeping on asking themselves or their counterparts "am I
looking fat? This trend has become a part of their lives. I totally disagree that
Bollywood or any other entertainment media for that matter is to be blamed for this. Everybody gets basic education these days, so
why can't these young people find logic behind what they are doing? The glamour queens on the silver screen can afford such
extremities in figure correction because that's an offshoot and possibly a hazard of their profession. But the viewers should not
follow trends so blindly. It is true that the glamour world is bound to intervene on our psyche but it is up to us to decide where to
draw the line. Everybody is gifted with unique features; it is possible to look truly beautiful only when you find your own
individuality. In this matter at least, it is better to create an example rather than following one. After all, the quintessential
definition of beauty is most surely determined by its transcendental quality.

SLress und Ls EIIecLs on LIe Body
f you did not know, stress can be causing many of your health-related problems and you may not even be aware. Stress can cause the body
and mind to react in ways that normally they would not. Even the headache that you have on occasion, may be coming from stress. Perhaps
you are having trouble remembering things like you normally would or you feel that your body and mind is just not delivering productively.
Stress may be the blame for these things as well as many others. Putting a stamp on stress early into the game, can help you in finding ways
to manage it before it gets out of hand.

Also, never assume that stress is the cause of your headache or forgetfulness, as these may be signs of other, more serious diseases or
illnesses. Seeing your physician can help you diagnose the problem and a health care professional should always be consulted when in
doubt. Stress can mimic heart attack symptoms, but you should never think that stress is the cause for the signs or symptoms if you ever
experience them. Seeking medical or professional help always the right thing to do.

Stress, if left unattended for very long can cause long-standing health issues and can even cut your lifespan down considerably. Steps have
to be taken in order to lengthen and increase the longevity of your life. Stress not only wreaks havoc on the individual who has it, it often rubs
off to family members and close friends as well. f friends and family see that you are having a hard time with stress and related stressful
issues, they may begin to experience it as well.
There are many types of stress busters and finding one that can help reduce or eliminate your stress is desirable. Things like yoga,
meditation, relaxation activities and exercise is great for relieving stress. Finding an enjoyable hobby may often be the perfect remedy for
eradicating stress. f you have trouble finding something that will take the stress off of you, talking to someone that you trust or a close friend
can often help you in locating the perfect activity to knock out stress as well. There may be times when a medication or prescription may be
issued to help alleviate stress and you and your doctor can assess and find the one that is right for you. Sometimes stress can be relieved by
simply talking to someone close and trusting and you will find that you feel better just getting things off your mind as well.
