The block diagram displays the functional organization of the RQX-1000 module that accepts two different input signals: RF and TS signal. RQX-1000 bloc diagram is illustrated above. It consists of two main sub-parts: the front-end and the processing. The front-end is designed for a specific standard and hosts the demodulator chipset. This process is responsible for the signal demodulation as well as the acquisition of I/Q signal samples via a low noise RF tuner that are necessary for the MER calculation. The processing bloc includes a measurement process and a stream management function. The stream management is able to receive two streams in parallel, one form the demodulator and another one from external. Those two streams are then encapsulated over IP packet and streamed over the Ethernet interface. The clock and synchronization part is able to accept an external 10MHz time reference, in particularly used to estimate any RF Carrier Frequency Offset (F). RQX-1000 can be fully controlled via IP.

2.1.2
In RQX-1000, a specific synchronization process has been implemented in particularly to run advanced features such as Fine MER, Shoulder measurements, CIR, etc. (see DEMOD features). In order to help system integrator to correctly identify when this process is correctly synchronized or not, and consequently to detect if the advanced measurement results are relevant or not, two status are available on the API: Time Synchronization and Freq. Synchronization status. (please see command 0xB0 Byte 16). 2.1.3 Control Interfaces
- Ethernet control interface The control of the RQX-1000 platform is fully made using an Ethernet link. The used protocol is a proprietary protocol based on XML over HTTP. Please see RQX-1000 Developers Guide for more details. - RS232 control interface RS232 communication port can be used to retrieve the control IP address using Hyperterminal software. A PC must be connected to the equipment with a direct cable. RS232 port settings are: Speed 57600 bits/s 8 data bits No parity 1 stop bit No flow control
As shown in the previous figure, the user will type TX 11 8B and press enter. In the answer, the IP address is C0A800D2: 192.168.0.209

Note: FEF, Auxiliary streams and Repetition of L1-post dynamic data features are not supported. As ~TCM-RQX-1410 does not reconstruct any T2-MI stream at the output and does not feature any T2-MIP packet extraction, it cannot be used in case of DVB-T2 SFN Sub-network as illustrated in [T5] Annex B.
2.1.5
It represents the power level at the RQX-1000 RF input in the whole band (from 50MHz to 862MHz). - Channel input level It represents the power level at the RQX-1000 RF input for the selected DVB- T2 channel (7 or 8MHz bandwidth). - Left and right shoulders It gives the shoulder value at the user-defined distance from the center frequency. It represents the difference between the mean power level of the useful carriers and the power level at the selected point.

Using the 10/100/1000 BaseT rear panel Ethernet plug, the user will connect a PC to the module. Then using ControlCast for control and monitoring, the user will be able to configure its RQX-1000 module. RQX-1000 default configuration is the following: Product IP @ IP address: 192.168.0.209 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.0.254
The RQX-1000 module does not embed a DHCP client: it cannot receive its IP addresses from the network. These addresses as well as the subnet mask and the gateway address must be set by the user via ControlCast software in accordance with his network configuration. Please contact your network administrator to obtain this information.

5.3.6 Configuration files management using FTP RQX-1000 features a flexible mechanism to manage completed configuration file. This mechanism can be illustrated as hereunder:
current_config.xml is only available in read access, it contains all the current configuration of equipment. next_config.xml is in read / write access, it contains all the configuration that will be applied at the next command set next config. 5.3.7 Firmware upgrade using FTP
The FTP release download procedure is very simple, it consist in : - launch a FTP session : FTP 192.168.0.209 (assuming that the product address is the default one) - download the release file at root : put release.fir At the end of transfer, the new release is written into flash memory, and the product automatically boot on this new version.

6.3 Calibration
To reach the best performances, a calibration is performed at the delivery on each unit. This process has a direct effect on the following parameters: Fine MER Shoulders Channel Level Full Band Level A first calibration is done before the equipment comes out from TeamCast and a calibration certificate is provided (see Appendix C). Calibration and re-calibration shall be performed at TeamCast headquarter except specific agreement. Any re-calibration of delivered item can be requested by Customer (please contact your sales representative for commercial condition). TeamCast recommends a 12 months period between re-calibrations, not mandatory. A sticker will be delivered with the calibration certificate (see Appendix C). This sticker will indicate the calibration date, validity as well as the calibration certificate reference associated to this (re-)calibration.
