1 Component 1: INDIVIDUAL CONCEPT PAPER (20%) The Individual concept paper in this module would require the students to thoroughly study the compensation trends in a particular sector and submit a detailed analysis of the same. The student should submit the coursework three weeks before the end term examination. The submitted coursework should be in the form of a soft copy and should be between 8-10 pages. Warning: Plagiarism of any kind shall be dealt severely and can lead to be dismissal of submitted work. 7.2 Component 2: PROJECT WORK (20%) A group project will be assessed on extent of research applied, data collection and representation, recognition of the issues and the overall effectiveness of information presented.The Project can be from any of the industry. The Project must be an empirical one based either on primary or secondary data or a combination of both. A report will consist of 10-15 pages and contain an executive summary, objectives, analysis, findings, inferences and recommendations. Any references must be mentioned. Submission of the project would be done 3 weeks prior to the end term examination. Warning: Plagiarism of any kind shall be dealt severely and can lead to be dismissal of submitted work. 7.3 Component 3: END TERM EXAM (60%) A two-hour, open book end term examination will be held at the completion of the course. The examination will test students' ability to apply various performance management concepts to business problems, through case-lets and application based questions. Feedback on students' performance in the exam will be provided when answer scripts are shown to students. 8. Format of submission of Course work 8.1 The Individual Concept Paper should contain or cover the following issues: 1. Details about the organization/Industry 2. Its vision, mission, values, goals 3. Details about their its services/product Page 1 of 6

[11/08/2011-OB-505-V1] 4. Details about their Compensation Policy and trends in the industry 5. Analysis of the Compensation practices in the industry. 6. Comments 8.2 The final report should include all of the following: Cover Page - The cover page should include the report title, the names of your group members, with roll numbers. Each group member will sign his / her name on the cover as a 'sign off' on the report and its contents. Executive Summary - An Executive Summary of no more than two double spaced pages will follow the cover page. This should highlight what is included in the report. Table of Contents - Immediately following the Executive Summary should be a table of contents for your report. You may put the report together in any order you like, provided there is some logical reasoning (apparent to the reader) for the sequence you have chosen. Main Body of Report - Groups are expected to include each of the components, discussed earlier, in the final report. As noted earlier, groups should revise each section, as necessary, for inclusion in the final report. Conclusion - The report should end with a brief conclusion that ties the entire project together and reveals major insights gained during the study of your chosen industry. References - A complete citation of all work / research of others references in your report should be included in a list at the end of the report as references and also indicated in the text of the report. Recommendation
From the findings & conclusion what can be recommended for improvement for the company/product/process. This is the most important part of the project for the faculty to judge whether students have made any effort on the project or not.

Herein students will mention all the sources from where the data on the project has been used. Mentioning the links of the websites from which the data is taken

Appendix
Data that doesnt fit in the body of the project report can be mentioned here. Any tables with data, any research data found or questionnaire made can be attached in the appendix.
