Clinton Democratic Club Welcomes the UFT

The Clinton Democratic Club held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 19th at the offices of Vallone & Vallone, LLP. The Club invited Mr. Dermot Smyth, the Queens Political Action Coordinator of the United Federation of Pictured from Left: UFT Queens Political Action Coordinator Teachers. Mr. Smyth spoke about Dermot Smyth, State Committee Member John Dorsa, Actress/ singer/dancer Samantha Vallone, President Paul Vallone, and the critical issues facing our local Clinton Club Kids. schools and the UFTs ongoing battle with City Hall on behalf of our children. He announced the UFT recently unveiled a new bullying hotline, which parents and children can use to report bullying and learn resolutions and ways to prevent bullying. Mr. Smyth also urged parents to become Past Commander Bob Gracia of the Whitestone American Legion Post addressed the Posts proud history, located at Clintonville Street between 11th and 12th Avenues. He spoke to members and asked for help to raise funds for this years Memorial Day Parade. Dr. Pauline Spatafora spoke about her book, Dear Sister: Letters Home to Sicily from Wartime America. In light of Italian Heritage Month, Dr. Spatafora spoke of Italian pride and being Italian today. Finally, Adam Lombardi spoke about the launch of his brand new website, Queens-Politics.com. Unlike most political blogs, his site gives unbiased and open views on local politics. Clinton Club Kids Give Members a Treat

As Halloween approaches, the Clinton Club Kids certainly got into the holiday spirit! The children wore their costumes and performed spooky songs such as Ghostbusters and The Addams Family Theme.

President Paul Vallone wishes to thank everyone who donated candy Wednesday night. These candies will be donated to the 111th Precinct and Engine 320 Ladder 167. Special thank you to actress, singer, and dancer Samantha Vallone, who treated the Clinton Club Kids to a fun and interactive gathering.
