Tony Israel has just finished doing a 50-minute film documentary on the
impact of the rituals performed by the Mumbakis to the integrity of the
rice culture of the Ifugaos. This project was funded by the National
Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and will soon be aired on
national televsion as soon as the final review is made. He produced,
directed, edited, narrated, and wrote the script of the film. Except for the
handling of the camera, this film-project was practically a one-man
creation.

Israel was also the pioneering show presenter of RJTV Interactive News -
a public forum news interactive which he conceptualized and introduced in
July 4, 2005. Still running but under the stewardship of another
presenter, from Monday to Friday (6:00 to 7:00 pm) over RJTV 29 and
simulcast over DZRJ-810AM, Tony is still by far acclaimed as the station’s
top-rate political commentator and interactive show presenter; though he
is now on indefinite leave status.

Tony was the News Director for Rajah Broadcasting Network (RJTV-29,
DZRJ-810AM, DZRJ-FM 100.3); a role which he assumed in July 2005 until
January 15, 2006. He headed the news team and was responsible for the
integrity of its news content both in Enlgish and in Tagalog. Skilled in
team management and creative development, he revived the ailing news
department back to efficiency, productivity and sustainability.

He is the Founding Chairman of the Philippine Broadcasting Institute (PBI)

- a media-based non-profit organization established in January 2005 and it
became an affiliate of the prestigious Asia-Pacific Insitute for Broadcasting
Development (AIBD) in less than six-months since its founding. Tony
had since been recognized in both local and Asian professional media
circles as a faithful advocate for public service media and a steadfast
supporter of democracy and free expression.
