TODAY is World Mission Sunday. This years theme is: Share your faith give life! The retiring collection is for MISSIO. (APF/Mill Hill). Envelopes available for any gift aid donations. SOLEMN EXPOSITION this weekend, after the Vigil Mass until 9pm and then on Sunday after the 9.30am Mass until Benediction at 4pm. Deacon Michael Harrison from St. Peters will be the Preacher. It would be wonderful to have as many people as possible at Benediction to close this special time of prayer. HOSPICE 200 CLUB: Today final collection of 12 annual subscription. We are hoping to reach 200 this year. New members welcome. A great way to support Trinity Hospice. HALF TERM PARISH WALK in the Arnside/Silverdale area: th Wednesday 26 October. Meet 9.45am at the Parish Hall. Families welcome, but no unaccompanied children please. Bring a packed lunch. Enquiries to Richard Jones (Tel: 727498). FIRST HOLY COMMUNION (June 2012): The programme of preparation for children in Yr 3 or above will be starting soon. Parents wishing their children to receive the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Reconciliation are asked to phone Mrs Drake on 733985. There will be a meeting for parents with the Catechists th and Fr. John on Weds 16 Nov at 7pm in the Presbytery. PARISH SHOW CASE CELEBRATION on 19 /20 November, Feast of Christ the King. This is being organised by the parish pastoral team. The main purpose of the event is to showcase as many of the activities which take place in the parish to as many people as possible. There is so much to celebrate and to thank God for. If the event also encourages others to be involved and use their gifts, then this can only be a good thing too! Please would leaders of groups or activities take an information sheet this weekend from the back of church explaining practical details. Next weekend there will be special boards (light-weight and not too big) to collect from the sacristy for your group to prepare a small display. The pastoral team are happy to answer any questions and to help, just have a word with one of us. LANCASTER CATHEDRAL: Please see posters regarding: 1.Campion a play in 2 acts. Tickets available from weekend 29/30 October. 6 incl. pie & peas supper. HARVEST FAST DAY: Thank you on behalf of CAFOD and the recipients of their help. You very generously gave 1,506.53, inc. Gift Aid, in the Fast Day envelopes. YOUTH CLUB: A group of enthusiastic parishioners from St. Josephs and St. Peters have come together to run a joint youth club. The Club will be based in our Hall and will be on Thursday nights from 7pm 8.30pm every two weeks. Its open to young th people from Yr 6 upwards. The starting date is Thursday 17 November, 7pm 8.30pm. ANNUAL MASS COUNT: final count this weekend. THIS WEEK: Weds 9.45am Thu 7pm Half Term Parish Walk Bell Ringing.
