CHATHAM: SINGLE-PHASE DEVELOPMENT

OPTION OVERVIEW
THIS OPTION PROVIDES FOR A SINGLE-PHASE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE CURRENT CHATHAM CAMPUS ON EITHER THE WEST OR EAST SIDE OF THE EXISTING HOSPITAL. THE PRIORITIES FOR THE NEW EXPANDED SPACE WILL INCLUDE: Emergency Department Diagnostic Imaging Ambulatory Care Laboratory Pharmacy Rehabilitation Cardiac, Respiratory and Vascular Health Surgical Suite Sterile Processing Medical/Surgical Inpatient Units Inpatient and Outpatient Mental Health Services Complex Continuing Care Woman and Child Services Several Hospital Support Services

WALLACEBURG: RESIDENTIAL CAMPUS OF CARE MODEL


OPTION OVERVIEW
THIS CAMPUS OF CARE MODEL PROVIDES A CLUSTER OF COMPLEMENTARY HEALTHCARE SERVICES THAT DRAWS PEOPLE PRIMARILY FOR LONG-TERM STAYS AND LONG-TERM CARE NEEDS. THIS OPTION ACCOMMODATES 25 INPATIENT BEDS (MEDICAL/ COMPLEX CONTINUING CARE) AS WELL AS EMERGENCY SERVICES, AMBULATORY CARE, DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES AND OTHER COMPLEMENTARY HOSPITAL SERVICES IN A NEW BUILDING. THE CAMPUS OF CARE FOR THIS TYPE OF MODEL MIGHT ALSO INCLUDE A BROAD RANGE OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY COMMUNITY-BASED PARTNERS LIKE LONG-TERM CARE, HOSPICE, SUPPORTIVE HOUSING (MENTAL HEALTH) AND SENIORS HOUSING. THERE ARE TWO PHYSICAL DESIGN OPTIONS, 1-STOREY (DEPICTED BELOW) AND 2-STOREY, FOR THIS MODEL.

THIS CAMPUS OF CARE MODEL PROVIDES A CLUSTER OF COMPLEMENTARY HEALTHCARE SERVICES THAT DRAWS PEOPLE PRIMARILY FOR AMBULATORY AND WELLBEING APPOINTMENT-BASED SERVICES (PRIMARY CARE). THIS OPTION ACCOMMODATES EMERGENCY SERVICES, AMBULATORY AND PRIMARY CARE, AND DIAGNOSTICS SERVICES IN A NEW BUILDING; ANY INPATIENT CARE REQUIRED WILL BE ACCOMMODATED AT THE CHATHAM CAMPUS. THE CAMPUS OF CARE FOR THIS TYPE OF MODEL MIGHT ALSO INCLUDE A BROAD RANGE OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY COMMUNITY-BASED PARTNERS LIKE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE (CHC), FAMILY HEALTH TEAM (FHT), PHARMACY (PRIVATE), VON, PHYSIOTHERAPY (PRIVATE), GYM, CCAC, OPTOMETRISTS (PRIVATE), PODIATRIST (PRIVATE) AND OTHER COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES.
